Why doesn't the government cut out the aid to foreign countries? That would cut a chunk of expenses; and, the majority of the aid does not get to the actual people that it is intended to help anyway. Most of it is syphoned off by corrupt foreign government officials anyway. The US is giving aid to countries that we owe interest to!! It makes no sense!! They are lending our own money back to us and charging us interest!

hey lee you need to brush on the consitiution,we do not have secret votes on matters of public policy in the congress.we the voters, have a right to know how our elected officials vote on every piece of legislation that effects our lives.

McConnell comes across as a man, able to put it right.

It does appear that most of these kids are performing for an 'audience,' and are more concerned about how 'tough' they look on the 6pm news, how about a secret vote. Put 'em in a room and let them vote their TRUE consciences. Let them think about the Moms, Dads, kids in Day Care, Grandmas/dads that worked like hell all their lives, the youngsters trying to feed their familys.

Must we truly know WHO VOTED WHAT?? Just take care of the folks who live across this Country and do your jobs and stop acting like children.
