Since this Good Old USA is evolving into a multinational & multicultural country, why not have a popular vote by those who inhabit the main 3 countries on this continent(U.S.,Canada, & Mexico) for the merger into a Superstate?

Just think of all that could be eliminated and the economic benfits for all!!!

Please don't say it can't be done, because it can be if we all put our mind to it!!!

Remember, the beginning of our beloved U. S. Constitution, "We The People"!!!

I agree with Bruce "ryans vouchercare plan is a perfect example of their being dishonest"

and I think most Americans agree Ryan's plan is garbage and we need to hammer that home.

Republicans say at least they have a plan, and Democrats have a plan too and its called Medicare, the most successful healthcare plan ever. Medicare can be improved on, sure, particularly by expanding it to everyone - Medicare Part E.

How come is someone defending Perry and TeaPublicans from being called racists?

you can tell someone is losing the argument when the local grinch goes off the deep end about 150 yr old irrelevant politics, ringing up a high word total because he apparently gets paid by the word no matter how relevant.

“Paul Ryan’s premium support plan is preferable to Obama’s rationing panel”

“A good article from the Wall Street Journal."

“Here are the highlights."

“Beginning in 2022, the Ryan plan offers each new Medicare enrollee a choice of private health plans and a premium paid to the plan they choose. The key is that the premium will be equivalent to what Medicare is projected to spend under the Obama health law: $15,000 a year on average, more for the oldest enrollees, less for the youngest, all inflation adjusted."

“The Ryan proposal also includes a $7,800 annual medical savings account to help low-income seniors with out-of-pocket costs. Amazingly, the CBO analysts exclude this $7,800 benefit from their calculations. Their warning about low-income seniors suffering is baseless."

“The Obama health law leaves that up to an unelected board of presidential appointees called the Independent Payment Advisory Board, a cost-cutting panel. The board is a radical departure from Medicare as we’ve known it. Congress cedes nearly all control of Medicare spending to the board on the rationale that budgeting decisions should be shielded from outraged seniors and political pressures. On April 13, the president reiterated that the board would decide what care is “unnecessary” for seniors. Even the CBO cautioned that as the nation’s debt crisis worsens, benefits will be put on the board’s chopping block."

“Will Americans now in their 40s and 50s choose to put their health care in the hands of this cost-cutting board, or pick their own health plan when they retire?”

Billyboy, Republicans of the 1860s bare no resemblance to the Republicans of today. Since Nixon threw in with the Southern strategy to use racism to promote the Republicans, their party has taken an overt hardline against minorities.

Republicans of sixty years ago wouldn't recognize the wackadoodle Republicans of today. The Party of Lincoln and even Eisenhower were very much in favor of investing in American infrastructure and thus we got the trans-continental railroads and the highways system. Not today's Republicans - who are completely opposed to investing in America.

Today's Republicans are going all peacenik on us with their sudden anti-war agenda, especially with the hippydippy Ron Paul, even if its only because a Democratic war president is being successful in defeating the terrorists.

Who are you trying to fool?
