John McCain came out against torture again today, and he says that "enhanced interrogations" did not get us the info. Looks like he's a 'maverick' again! Still waiting to hear where you stand, Bill....

A picture's worth a thousand words,

So bin Laden most probably,

In poses not of his preferreds,

Was pictured dead as dead can be.

A thousand words and millions more

Do want those pictures to be shown.

There is worldwide demand galore

To view the gory flesh and bone.

The pix are worth big bucks of course.

Big Gov charging to take a peek

Could start a new revenue source,

A cash for carnage, so to speak.

Here's what the government should do -

Put out the pix as pay per view.

My position is that torture is wrong: "The argument against torture is obvious. It has been proven not to work for one thing. On the other hand, if we do torture, what is it that sets us apart from the terrorists?" And killing bin Laden was right: "Even if there is a rule about not killing individuals in other countries who haven't had their day in court.... wouldn't f'ing bin Laden be the exception to the rule?"

You may not accept my answer, but I did answer your question previously, and yet you haven't answered any of mine, or defended your position that torture is good and killing bin Laden was bad. If this is not your viewpoint, please make it up.

I write many comments. I express my personal opinions a lot. No need for you to make up my viewpoints. I’ll do that.

Will leave it as you didn’t answer my question...

And you didn't answer mine, either. It's a fallacy.

"Police who kill a unarmed murderer is in big trouble. No, bin dead is no exception."

So, you consider the war on terror a police action? You'd rather we did not invade Paki airspace? You'd rather we capture him, bring him to Gitmo and torture him with no foreseeable trial? What do you want? I like a dead bin Laden under the sea, and I'd wager most folks agree with me, if they can see through their Obama-hate glasses.

The argument against torture is obvious. It has been proven not to work for one thing. On the other hand, if we do torture, what is it that sets us apart from the terrorists?

Please Bill, regale me with your standard links and incomplete sentences/thoughts that you leave on nearly every article.

“wouldn't f'ing bin Laden be the exception to the rule? ”. Police who kill a unarmed murderer is in big trouble. No, bin dead is no exception.

My question was simple, “Why is it ok to kill unarmed bin dead, but wrong to water board ? ”

Leave out the non-sense and answer.

Bill Hedges of MO 1:09PM May 10, 2011

"Why is it ok to kill unarmed bin dead, but wrong to water board ? "

I ask you, why is it OK to torture, but wrong to kill bin Laden?

I'll tell ya what's tortured here.... the logic.

Even if there is a rule about not killing individuals in other countries who haven't had their day in court.... wouldn't f'ing bin Laden be the exception to the rule?

By all means, truthers, birthers, et al, please run with this logic: "Killing bin Laden was wrong. Let's torture more!"

Everybody knows that the economy will die away anyway, so why start a fight when we're fighting a fight in our own country. Because the government has taken ove the power that the people have had for a long time.
