0. doesn't matter what Muslim think

So what if Muslim hate Americans; even if they do, where does retaliation and hatred would get us? Your hate accomplishes nothing but more violence.

1. why fight poison with poison

Burning of Koran is provoking further mistrust and hatred. Why are you fighting hate with more hate, do you not know what vicious cycle is? Your irresponsible hate is the reason another American family has to watch their son got killed oversea.

2. burning of Koran is what they teach you at Sunday school? Do you go to church on Sunday morning and listen to the person who tells you to burn Koran and to hate on Muslim? What kind of screw up religion is this?

R.L. Schaefer,

Thanks for sticking up for christians. Too bad they are often the ones on the ignorant, insensitive side of the issues in the states. Yeah, they might only kill abortion doctors or start up cool little clubs like the KU KLUX KLAN. Or kill mormons. Sometimes they like to beat up homosexuals and love to tell them how to live while complaining about companies substituting the word Holiday for christmas.

But I do agree. The way the muslims in question acted was ridiculous.

Seems to me their is often a common denominator in Ignorance. Faith - "Blind Irrational Reason" which often leads too intolerance. Our collective "shyte" might not stink as bad, but it still stinks pretty bad.

Was a great idea. Pointed out to naive PC liberals who insist Moslems are "just like us" that they aren't and illustrates that Tedian, chamberpot immigration and free speech are simply not compatible, and that Middle East rebels are not fighting for what we would call freedom.

In the end it might save many US lives if it hastens our retreat from meddling in places we and our PC culture are not welcome.

Terry Jones is Evil Incarnate.

All Muslim countries persecute Christians. Churches - if they are allowed at all - are often blown up when full of parishioners. Nuns and priests are killed at random and Christians executed for carrying a bible or jailed for mentioning Jesus.

It's funny, I don't hear of mobs of Christians storming about killing Muslims when this happens. Yet they burn churches and kill like mad dogs when they hear about one goofball burning a Koran.

I think the moral high ground is pretty well defined. Open your eyes Peter - the Mr. Rogers shtick just isn't you.

That being said, most "mainstream Muslims" do not in any way agree to the heinous crimes perpetrated by a small group of narrow minded, intolerant, hateful people.

So guess what "Reverend" Terry Jones, YOU are now officially the "Osama Bin Laden of the United States." Because you and your fellow Fundamentalists are almost identical to the Shiites, & Al Quada's. Mainstream American Christians do not support your twisted versions of the Bible, and they certainly DO NOT approve of your recent, and very stupid burning escapade where youj can't imagine thinking outside the box on the repercussions this could possibly have on us and the rest of the world. YES! you are not different than Bin Laden - you both hate, terrorize, show intolerance, and murder innocent people for you and your own selfish agrandizements!

It is too bad that our embarrassed United States Government can't fully express their disdain for YOU and YOUR CRAZY Zealot's actions by plucking ALL OF YOU FROM YOUR HOMES, AND DEPOSIT ALL OF YOU IN THE MIDDLE OF AFGHANISTAN with a note to the Muslim world that the U.S. condems your awful act of intolerance, and therefore leave you to them to be dispatched in any way they see fit.

In 1520, Martin Luther burned a Papal Bull from Leo X in Wittenberg. The burning was accompanied by an essay entitled, "Against the Execrable Bull of the Antichrist." I am sure Mr. Roff would have found Luther's language very offensive and divisive, for Luther wrote that "I call upon you to renounce your diabolical blasphemy and audacious impiety, and, if you will not, we shall all hold your seat as possessed and oppressed by Satan, the damned seat of Antichrist; in the name of Jesus Christ, whom you persecute."

Note to Mr. Roff: men who change the world often use strong language. Men who don't (like Mr. Roff) often write pabulum and bromides, thinking it to be profound.

Did Mr. Jones ever read the Quran, with belief that he was going to search the truth? The truth one begins to search is not related to the ideology of Muslims but the reason for their belief? Quran declared Jesus as Christos, it removed blood label from Jews that the Church had imposed on it as killers of Christ, however at the same time the Quran declares that none can be a Muslim, unless they believe in Jesus, the Christ, the Virgin birth, and the Day of Judgment. This is the requirement for the Muslims; the Christians are called the People of the book. Sorties in Quran are same as the Bible, and the same are its Prophets, books, and God. Muslims await for the same Messiah, namely Jesus to return. Did the clown Jones read any of this, and then there are those who cannot believe Islam demands that none can go to heaven unless he is a Muslim. Indeed to the ordinary reader this would be a red herring. Not really. The word Islam is an Arabic Word meaning peace. Yes the crazy Mullah of al Qaeda or preachers of hate like Jones think alike, without care for human life, they light the fire then claim they did not mean people to die, the devils agents are always claiming to do the right. The basic fact is that Islam means “submission” to the “will of God”, thus those who call themselves Christians, Jews and Muslims the children of Abraham are all Muslims and Islam even opens the door to others including confirming that any who do good would receive their reward from God, it never closed doors by exclusivity such as either be a Jew or Christian. I have been a Professor of Western Tradition for 28 years, and yet the awesome ignorance or what Pope described as draught of knowledge continues to surprise me. What was gained by burning Christ, Abraham, and Moses as was conducted in the exercise of hate by Mr. Jones.

Jones is just copying Beck.

Terry Jones is using Roger Ailies tactics.

There is no other reasonable explanation that a righty like Jones can even think that his treason actions are anyway acceptable.

Be honest, FOX News has made hate and volatile talk so acceptable to some here that naturally we get clowns like Terry Jones and his racist religious fascism copying the clowns at FoX. Most FOX shows and their big stars have been pushing Islamophobia and supporting hate against Islamic people. Terry Jones doesn't fall far from the tree.

Sure, Terry Jones should be in jail. He is burning crosses in public just like his Klan buddies and he is endangering soldiers and UN staff. Jones is a religious terrorist as much as bin Ladin, but Terry Jones is mimicking the Fox hatemongers so closely, they give him a pass.

Did the Bible teach its follower to burn books, or teaching of other religion? That Act itself, is pure EVIL, is pure Ignorant and Intolerant, is the exact reason why people got on Mayflower and fled Europe to establish a country that respect others.

You are free to express your opinion about Islamophobia, just as you are free to express your support in slavery and discrimination based on skin color. However, your Action has consequence, which includes death of American soldiers due to Your provocation.
