No matter what anyone says Jones and his ilk are extremist just like the ones who took the lives of so many innocent people on 9/11. He is no better than Ahmadenijad. you cant fight fire with fire because at the end you get a bigger fire. this is pointless.

Terry Jones knew that his actions would incite a violent response, I believe that was his goal. He has placed our troops at increased risk for his First Amendment rights. I find his behavior criminal. Our soldiers and marines will bear the cost of his religious/political zeal with their blood.

Terry Jones may feel no responsibility for the outcome of his actions but I hold him accountable for using our troops to cover his rear.

Rather than going to Kabul himself, he staged his "stunt" on the safety on American soil. How very brave of him! He has given no thought nor demonstrated any regard for our young men and women serving this nation in a war so very far away. Terry Jones is a self centered blind man.

Jones' book burningwas probably one of the dumbest things anyone who claims the name of 'Christian' could have thought of to alienate everyone who isn't a Christian. It certainly could not have pleased Jesus Christ as an example of ministery to those who don't care to know any more about Him or us as believers. Since that is our second responsibility as Christians, Terry Jones has made it even more difficult for non-believers to any Christian from any denomination.

What a foolish, foolish man! I wouldn't want to have to stand in lhis shoes when the time comes.

You are correct Islam is no a religion it is a political institution that should be abolished

I do not condone the burning of the Quran or any other book.

However I believe people should inform themselves.

Everyone should read the Quran and the Hadiths.

Islam is not a religion but a political ideology and even a sect.

Islam is about conquering the world and not befriending people of other beliefs. It is forbidden to befriend "infidels" (of course, you may be friendly and kind toward them if you want to convert them to islam, but be sure to only touch them with your left hand).

Islam is about intolerance to others and death to anyone who questions or chooses to stop believing.

Islam is about total and complete discrimination between men and women, removing any possibility for complicity, long-term love and relationships

I do not condone the burning of the Koran.

But before condemning the person who did it, please read the Koran and decide for yourself.

Terry Jones seems the type, who if he could get enough of a congregation together, to eventually end it all with another Jonestown. He is a hateful, small minded man who cares little for any consequences, so long as he is serving his own agenda.

I honestly don't know a lot about Islam. I keep hearing that at its heart, it is a religion of peace. But if that is what it really espouses, why aren't the leaders of Islam speaking out about the horrific crimes committed by some who proclaim themselves ardent Muslims?

Imagine if a Muslim burned a Bible ... yes it would be upsetting to many people, many Christians and of other faiths. But killing someone over it? Beheadings? Destroying entire buildings and all of the innocents inside? These are actions committed by sociopaths and psychopaths. If these things happened in the U.S., Canada, France, Germany, Australia ... virtually any civilized country, such people would be imprisoned or put into a mental hospital.

If anyone thinks these depraved acts should be condemned, please bring it to the attention of Muslim leaders. With no shepherd, where are the actions of the flock?

Jones is just another right wing nut. The right wing extremists and fox news have been egging on this sort of behaviour for years. don't play dumb.

I am speaking because I currently have a son in Afghanistan. I want my son home safe on US ground. I found this to be very selfish of Reverend Jones to do such a thing. I say send him over to Afghanistan, send his family all over there and see how he would feel about that. What a idiot he really is. No Christian person would so such a thing to put our soldiers lives in jeopardy like that. I will be praying for my son and all of the soldiers and I will also pray for Rev. Jones because he does not have God in his life to do such a thing.

Progressive liberals are so concerned about, and tolerant of, Islam. The left bashes Christians and Israelis constantly, but says nothing about the daily atrocities perpetrated in Muslim countries by their governments and citizens. Islam treats women, gays, non Muslims and unorthodox Muslims like animals - no one utters a word.

It's obviously not about blind tolerance since the left treats other faiths with scorn. Rather, I think, it's about hate and fear.

The left hates orthodox Jews and Christians. The idea of Absolute, Objective Truth and Morality threatens the flimsy foundation of their secular "It's all about me" existence. And, Islam literally scares the bejesus out of them since their make believe world would come to a screeching halt under the banner of the crescent moon.

Perhaps they should be frightened, for Islam is on the march again, and this time there is no one to stand in their way.

Read a history book.

and any other Americans overseas. We are at war, and acts like this that endanger our troops and our citizens should be punished. It is irresponsible, childish, and makes him co-responsible for what has occurred.

This dumb preacher should lose his tax exempt status, be incarcerated, and have to pay reparations to the families of those killed.

People like him give religion a bad name. Muslims killing others also is inexcusable....but to accuse them of being bad, we must assume we are acting properly - and this guy is not. It's like hitting a bees nest with a baseball bat and then being surprised when the bees all come out....

This preacher has no defense. Anyone who tries to in the name of free speech or religion is as bad as the preacher.

For once, Mr Roff - we agree. Jones is a creep - preacher or not.
