A GOP Takeover Might Alter Democrats’ Thinking on Bush’s Tax Cuts

Sometimes it is tough to see the forest for the trees. The bottom line is that the stalling tactics employed by the GOP when it comes to the "Tax Extenders" package has robbed this nation of jobs. The Tax Extenders package has been in play since late 09' and has passed the house twice and the Senate once. The R&D credit, the green energy credits and the Bond program are critical to business stability. These programs are typically extended every year with little or no fanfare. The uncertaintiy that has rippled through the business community due to the failure of congress to pass these has crippled small and large business alike. The effect of the Bush Tax cuts pale in comparison to the effect that passage of the "Tax Extenders" would have on the economy.
