Are Democrats Planning a Government Shutdown?

Democrats do not trap Republicans into anything. The Repubs claim to be mature adults, superior in judgment to all others and responsible for their own actions.

If the Republicans shut down government it's because they honestly can't think of what else to do with it. What the American people need and want means nothing. It's important to run errands for David Koch, but that's about it.

Says “looser”

Don’t check the polls. Especially the increase in Republicans expected in Congress come January. Don’t check polls seeing how hated obama’s agenda is, is. Don’t look at wins by Republicans since MA into office.

People are buying us and selling their obama stock.

You say “hissy fits and blame it on Americans that don't go to church or drink the kool aid that they want us to swallow”.

What do we blame on Americans who do not go to church ?

Makes absolutely no sense.

You don’t have to swallow anything. You can vote your conscience. Just as I will. If you don’t like hearing different views you are wrong site.

I, by the way, have not gone to church in over 10 years. As if that matters. I vote by my political view not my religious views. Just as Catholic Nancy Pelosi does. Catholic church does not believe in abortion, yet two Catholics Teddy and Nancy voted for it. Believe it or not there are CHURH people in Democrat party.

This is another ridiculous thing the republicans are inventing to blame on the democrats when is the LOOSER republicans that throw hissy fits and blame it on Americans that don't go to church or drink the kool aid that they want us to swallow, Roff give us some real meat to grab hold of instead of the same regurgitated stump speech rehash. PLEASE.

I would like to hear complete quote from Newt on plane sitting. I do have my doubts. Many times no/short quotes are misleading.

Is my understanding many balanced budgets was presented to Clinton. In keeping with CONTRACT WITH AMERICA. Clinton finally signed one and had his first balanced budget with Newt’s persistence.

Government was shut down twice because of no budget signed in time. Not sitting arangements.

Do look forward to full quote with link...

It might even be convincing if Newt Gingrich hadn't admitted years ago that he started the 1995 government shutdown over his seating on Clinton's presidential plane.

Grow up, debate something, have an argument, but quit acting like a child.

"The biggest earmark in American history has been doled out to a company in Illinois, the President’s home state, in the name of green jobs. The President’s $862 billion Stimulus plan has been an abysmal failure. It provided states and localities with billions in bailout moneys, funded wasteful projects like the Monkey cocaine study at Wake Forest and given false hope to Americans that the President has ideas to turn around the economy. This earmark is an outrage and the signature project of the President’s Stimulus plan. Thankfully, Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) is sounding the alarm bells and educating the American people to this new Obama outrage."

"President Obama is earmarking $1 billion in Stimulus money “to build FutureGen 2.0, a clean coal repowering program and carbon dioxide (CO2) storage network” in his home state of Illinois. According to a Department of Energy press release, this billion is being provided to ”FutureGen Alliance, Ameren Energy Resources, Babcock & Wilcox, and Air Liquide Process & Costruction, Inc. to build FutureGen 2.0, a clean coal repowering program and carbon dioxide (CO2) storage network.” That is right — $1 billion. This is the largest earmark of money in U.S. history and they are taking money right out of your pocket to pay for it."

"President Obama, Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Secretary Chu need to explain to the American people how this happened. How did this earmark get into the Stimulus? Why is the Obama Administration funnelling $1 billion into Illinois for a project of dubious effectiveness. Unemployment today stands at 9.5% and the Stimulus has proven to have had no effect on unemployment rates."

"This President’s Stimulus is a failure and many on the Hill are concerned about this project as evidence of special treatment for some companies in the President’s home state. This is exactly the type of waste, fraud and abuse that motivate average Americans to join the Tea Party movement to continue to distrust the federal government."

Steve of Il. passed this up totally the last time I posted it and he probably will again...

~or~

... regurgitate his continuing, "Blame Bush Syndrome", and/or throw in his likely, "racist, prejudiced, fear-monger, hate-monger", premise! All of his usual nonsensical excuse/format waste will be there!

The bottom line is to decrease/eliminate the Democratic Party's rule so that we may all return to a more prosperous state ...and who doesn't want that???
