Why Christine O’Donnell Can Win the Delaware Senate Race

Not all Tea candidates will win because it does not work that way for anyone. Christine O’Donnell has her checkered past, though not to Teddy Kennedy’s standards. Is her war chest of $750,000 usually high or low day after election ? I do not know..

I am obvious a teaer and care less if she is married, had abortion, or never been in a church. My favorite Governor is Bobby Jindal from LA. President Bobby Jindal' sounds good to me. He shined in barry’s oil slick in the GULF. Did much good in LA.

Is nice to have article without insults. Comments relying on thought not crudeness…

What qualifies her to be a senator? What is her track record? Knowledge of the world or the governmental process? And what does she mean by "restoring America?" From what to what?

I don't mind seeing new faces in elections, but I get the feeling that some really unqualified people are being touted as serious candidates, people with little or no experience/education/achievements/work ethic/vision. Do people think that these things don't matter when it comes to being an effective member of government? Is it because she's cute?

So many misrepresentations, so little space. I guess I'll just take a couple:

1. Mike Castle is not a "liberal Republican." There aren't any of those left. This is just another attempt by the right to make moderate the new liberal so that the right becomes the new "center."

2. The false equivalence between criticism of Obama's and O'Donnel's religious beliefs is ludicrous. People are criticizing Obama for a religion he doesn't adhere to (Islam). On the other hand, the criticism of O'Donell, whether you agree with it or not, is based on beliefs she actually holds.

Bonus #3. O'Donnel's behind by 10 points in a race where her opponent has never run for statewide office and all the coverage of the primaries has been about her? That doesn't bode well for O'Donnell.

Voters are tired of smoke and mirror shows, they get that its our country that is at stake. Career politicians on both sides are quivering and I hope that it continues.

By the people, of the people, for the people.

Your understanding of what happened in Delaware is limited because of your obvious bias against Obama. O'Donnell won in Delaware only because that state has such a small number of Republicans, about a third of the state's voters are registered Republican. She won by 5,000 votes, less than a percent of registered voters in the state. She didn't link Castle with Obama. The quarter million dollars contributed from the Tea Party Express, outside the state, linked Castle with the established political system, both parties. She's unlikely to garner much more than the fanatical, ill-informed 30k that voted for her in the primary. Most Democrats in Delaware will vote Democrat and you'll hear no more about O'Donnell.

Congratulations to a member of the mainstream media for writing an article that actually makes sense and fairly potrays the issues at stake here. Kudos to you.

Well, I think there it is a positive sign that the GOP and especially the even more conservative tea party voters decided to overlook the rhetoric and vote for her. It shows they are more accepting of differences in people that I’d given them credit for. I guess as long as she doesn’t want to get married, they’ll have no problem with her. Good for them.
