Is a shame alright. We treat illegal like kings compared to illegals caught in Mexico. But President of Mexico complains of Arizona law. I say America should follow Mexico's laws. I bit you take your papers when you go to pee at your home there.

Bill Hedges of MO 12:07AM June 28, 2010

there are still army troops with 50 cal machine guns mounted on jeeps at check points . There is still what i call the black boot police ( they wear black ) that come into bars and resturants to check papers and collect bribes from owners. There are still the brown shirts that will step of the curb and pull me over just to see my papers , I had better have my papers at ALL times . Been comming here on and off for 15 years , still the same .

I only watch CNN and the like to get the talking points , gets old real fast . I get a bit sarcastic with my comments when called for , save the basement for them .

People want to be thankfull for the U.S. , spend some time down here , they may not be so willing to change our country !!

Hunter of WI 11:51PM June 27, 2010

Is why I must use mostly right links. we each have our ways, I use links. On my other site I use the limit of 4 links on nearly each of my comments.

I can't stand CNN. I watched a little when Bush was President. Such utter garbage. Have watched a little recently and slightly better.

I hope you are far enough from the boarders in Mexico to be safe. Many years ago when I was stationed at then Little Sandia Army base, now Kirtland Air force Base, I got my training as Nuclear Power Maintenance Sp. Many went down to Mexico. I wish I went. I got my high Secret clearance. obama could not.

I find they dismiss my proof, they are short lived on site. They know logical statement with proof is correct. No matter what they say. They want us to insult and gravel with them.

I think you do well with your knowledge and well thought out comments. The insulters appear less and less now a days

I too watch Fox , I also try to watch CNN and MSNBC , to me the latter are to biased and don't give the whole story , all the facts or plain and simple the truth , the have an agenda . At least Fox gives both sides a chance , I like Greta , she has good questions .

As I've said in the past I don't use to many links at all , common sense and life , what I've seen and expirienced is what I go by . I've traveled all over this country , as far north , south , east and west as you can go ( except Hi. ) even much time out of U.S. , as right now I am in a small town in Mexico on a job . I have hired people and fired people , I have put multi million dollar projects together , I have seen what it takes for a business to succeed or fail . I have been on both ends of the stick . Over 30 years of traveling , saving , taking care off my family and future ( with no goverment help ) gives me my opinion . I've seen what it takes , it's not blaming other people , as we see today to often.

You're right though , when dealing with the left , facts should be backed up , I agree . To what point though , there is always a leftside twisted version . With some of these people , it's a never ending , fruitless battle.

Hunter of WI 10:23PM June 27, 2010

You know I like Fox a lot. They let liberals come on and state false information like Clinton gave us surplus and Bush caused recession. O’Reilly can not correct these statement completely with show having a set time for each segment. So some take these comments as true since no argument was presented. Blame I can not assign to Bill because you drill the truth would Barney Frank appear on show. Bill would have no liberals on show. Were would balance be ?

Point is Steve may be watching Fox but does not understand the dynamics. One must research, research, research what you hear even on Fox. I scream at Bill O’Reilly at home. Though he may be closest to unbiased.

Steve has come a long way in cleaning his insults out. He has issues left. But if he continue improving he may give very good comments for his political viewpoint whatever they may be.

If my comments are slated he should simple disprove my comment. Disproving Steve slants or mine will surely end that.

Like you said, “this is an OPINION site.” We all have right to our opinion.. Though facts must be proven.

Bill Hedges of MO 9:09PM June 27, 2010

I don't think steve of Il. understands this is an OPINION site . His thirst to always be right and get in the last word shows what he's all about . He will squirm , twist , and find whatever he can to get the last word , and think he is right .

Again , this is an OPINION site . I'm just a simple guy and understand that.

Your twist from Clinton balanced the budget to Clinton’s health care does not work. His health care failed, end of story. You higher unemployment number I have proved you wrong with your own source. AIR FORCE ONE did not cause CONTRACT WITH AMERICA..

I settled the issue that America does not control oil of Iraq. Their government is free to give contract to highest bidder please.

You say:

“Oil was a key motivation for the invasion of Iraq.”

Explain away contracts to Royal Dutch Shell of Europe, and Russia’s Lukoil. Only Exxon Mobil of America.

Oil contract are awarded by bid. As I pointed out:

Peak Oil Debunked: 63. THE IRAQ WAR IS NOT A WAR FOR OIL

http://peakoildebunked.blogspot.com/2005/08/63-iraq-war-is-not-war-for-oil.html

If war was for oil we would have keep Mid East after WW2. After Desert Storm. We did not. We buy our oil.

"The community of nations may see more and more of the very kind of threat Iraq poses now: a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction, ready to use them or provide them to terrorists. If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow." -- Bill Clinton in 1998

You wish to shoot the messenger who brings bad news. Are you heading towards more comments that will be removed from a liberal site ?

Your unemployment number by year differs as I showed. You call me ridiculous ? You are not thinking clearly when counter evidence confronts you.

From your source my quote:

“You said unemployment was 18%. Link says:

“Unemployment rate: 15.2% (2008 est.) 18% (2006 est.)”

Just as I wrote earlier:

“Bill Hedges of MO @ Jun 26, 2010 22:27:58 PM”

http://www.theodora.com/wfbcurrent/iraq/iraq_economy.html

The source you used is a old source and I provided a newer one. As I point out US oil firm won NO CONTRACTS year I pointed out.

You want to spread this discussion to Clinton’s health plan and I will not do it. Point was surplus was not Clinton surplus and that was proven to your displeasure. Was AIR PORCE ONE the reason you say, I suppose your never have heard of THE CONTRACT WITH AMERICA. You might want NOT to read it:

“During the 1994 elections, Republican candidates for the House of Representatives took the unusual step of signing a “contract with America.” program. The Contract promised a balanced-budget Yes in Contract with America was balance the budget.

Bill Hedges of MO 7:08PM June 27, 2010

No I don't use links , I use common sense , lifetime of expierence , both eyes open and an open mind , may-be you should try it sometime . Your determination to always be right is not worth it . Even though it is good reading to see how far you will go to spin things in your favor .

Hunter of WI 7:04PM June 27, 2010

Hunter, truth is on our side, not the right. Actually, Bill, for all his right wing spin, provides some links and substantiates his claims. By the way, Bill was the one who insisted that I use links to back up every statistical claim. You should do the same.
