He's absolutely right

keep big government out of the oil spill

in the Gulf of Mexico.

We don't need big government in our lives.

The Obama socialist government needs to stay out of the Gulf of the Mexico!

It's just another excuse for big government to encroach on our lives.

Newt is right.

Keep them out of the Gulf.

We don't need them in the Gulf of Mexico,

not now,

not tomorrow,

not ever.

Former Speaker Gingrich wants back in. Well his lack of character imploded his platform. The America that Barack Obama inherited was already heavy ladden with the poorly thoughout expenditures of the previous administration including a lack of regard for enforcing regulations, two wars, uprecedented tax cuts, during wartime and a new prescription program with no funding mechanism. These threats were brought on by conservatism.

My last two cents on this.I have conceeded Newt was a hypocrite and I didn't agree with what he did, at least he stepped down. Clinton did wag his finger and said, he didn't have sex with that woman. Then the sorry media trashed Jennifer Flowers and Kathleen Willey. Clinton started the politics of personal destuction to cover his butt..Edwards is top of the line scum, he fathered a child and the pushed it off for his own good. I think we agree on most of these points, not all. The left has the so called mainsteam media on their side twisting the facts and truth, leaving out facts and revising history to promote Obamas agenda, for why I don't know. Example, the representation of the Ariz. imagration law compared to federal law.

You I believe are a good democrat(may-be wrong) I'm quite obvious a conservative. If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions, more back to this article. Questions I've asked many liberals and have never got an answer to.

Are you happy with the direction Obama and his progressive agend is taking this country? Do you think higher taxes, bigger and more controlling goverment is the answer to our problems? Can you point out any goverment program or entitlement thats working, not bankrupt or close to it? What gives you faith to give the goverment more of our tax dollars to spend? Where was the lefts outrage when Bush was spending to much and growing goverment? They were right there spending along with him, even Obama voted for every spending bill.

Thanks Hunter, please answer.

Hunter, who said that Bill Clinton's relationship with Monica Lewinski was OK? Not me. I resent the h-- out of Bill Clinton for what he did to his family and for jeopardizing his presidency because he couldn't keep his zipper up. But Bill Clinton is not the hypocritical moral equivalent of Newt Gingrich.

Put the shoe on the other foot for a minute. Suppose President Clinton had been going around talking about what a scumbag Newt Gingrich was for cheating on his wife, while at the same time Clinton was keeping his relationship with Lewinski quiet. When you found out, how would that have registered on your Hypocrisy Meter?

Suppose Clinton had told us how outraged and ashamed he was at Gingrich's cheating, and had cajoled the Democrats into launching a Congressional investigation into Gingrich's sex life, while at the same time he was running around on Hillary. Has your Hypocrisy Meter pegged yet? Mine has.

You're right in that a lot of politicians in both parties have cheated on their spouses. It calls a person's character and judgement into question, but it's generally not a political death sentence.

However, the self-indulgent, never-even-blinked hypocrisy of an accusatory Newt Gingrich is very special.

How do you go before the cameras day after day and smugly, defiantly point the finger at someone else for doing the exact same thing you are doing in your own life if you have a trace of moral character?

You couldn't do that, Hunter, and neither could I. I can think of maybe two or three people I've ever met that could. Newt Gingrich had no problem with it. He is indeed very special.

Bill Clinton isn't the moral equivalent of Newt Gingrich. The closest thing to a Newt Gingrich in the Democratic Party is John Edwards. Edwards made his marriage a centerpiece of his political personae, while at the same time he was screwing around on Elizabeth.

Edwards didn't enhance his political standing by accusing others of his own failings the way Gingrich did, but he held himself up as someone special, when he wasn't. What Edwards did is maybe a tenth as hypocritical as Newt Gingrich, but it's as close as you're going to get from the Dems.

You don't see the Democratic equivalent of Newt Gingrich apologist Peter Roff trying to resurrect John Edwards' political career, do you?

If they did, I'd tell them to stuff it, too.

First it was the compliments to Barack Hussein Obama from Socialist dictator Hugo Chavez, for a fine job Obama was doing in transforming America from a Capitalist to a Socialist system. Then because of a lack of experience in the political field Obama forgetting the protocal of the president of the United States bowed to the primeminister of Japan. Then he apologized to the Socialists european hierarchy for Americas involvment in helping its allies and countries from tyrants and dictators, with economic and sustenance programs during climatic disasters. And now because of his arrogance towards Americans and hatred of Capitalism many members of the United Nations that dislike America have taken it upon themselves to criticize the immigration policies of the United States, as if their borders were open to any race, culture or religion not of their own. And, many foreign leaders that criticize the U.S., are themselves mired in corruption, their countries are stagnant, and as if living in the dark ages still deprive their citizens of their human rights. And in some countries, the border guards bet on how many individuals they can shoot, regardless of gender or age. And with the approval of their leaders, to shoot anyone or group of people, that in any way try to cross their borders illegally. And those that do enter illegally, when discovered and detained, are sometimes imprisoned and tortured without any representation of their rights. The arrogance of many foreign leaders feigning sympathy to express their opinion regarding the U.S. and Mexicos borders without having any knowledge as to its basis is a mute point. Considering that the laws and policies of the U.S. concerning illegal immigrants is one of the most lenient of all countries, even Mexicos. When asked by a reporter about the differences between Mexicos border policies and the U.S., president Caldaron unknowingly described Mexicos policy as being much harsher than the U.S. With years of imprisonment, fines in the thousands of dollars, tracking devices and much more. And the American citizens, not only having to deal with illegals crossing the borders and creating problems, we also have to deal with the cowards in Congress who stood up and applauded a speech degrading the principles of America, and the only country on this planet to stand up to third world puppets like Mexicos president whose more concerned about his prestige than trying to rid his country of crime and drug cartels. And, improving the lives of Mexican citizens, so they wouldn't have to leave their homeland for better opportunities elsewhere. The deception of president Felipe Caldaron is only an example of what America and its citizens have to deal with. America also has to deal with a Socialist / Communist president whose ambition it seems that from the very first day of his taking office, is to destroy the U.S. and its Constitution and to lower the standards of Americans to those of Socialist third world countries.

BORN AMERICAN of CA 11:51PM May 22, 2010

Well JimatMadison, have I once defended Newt and said what he's done is right or ok ? No. What I have commented on is the hate and double standards of the left. I'm sorry you think Clinton having sex with an intern ( 20 yrs. his younger ) in the oval office and lying to the american people and congress is ok. Doesn't say much about you.

You people on the left seem to forget Ted Kennedy, excuse Clinton, Edwards, Rangel, Jefferson, Blago, Massa, Condit, Dodd, Spitzer and the list goes on.

Please don't even bring up any moral standards when it comes to the left, not with the people in your party and late term abortions being just fine..

Both parties have srewed up people, that's why we need to vote them out and not enable lifetime elected officials.

Hunter of WI 11:10PM May 22, 2010

You don't need to lecture me either, Hunter.

Newt Gingrich and his GOPer buddies thought a political figure's sex life was the public's business to the extent that they had a special prosecuter investigate President Bill Clinton's sex life. When they thought he wasn't forthcoming enough on the issue, they impeached him.

All the while, of course, Newt Gingrich was whoring around on his own wife (his second), which he wasn't at all forthcoming about at the time.

We also know that Newt Gingrich screwed around on his first wife, and that he presented her with divorce papers while she was in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery.

Unless he's had himself castrated, he's cheating on his third wife, too, because scum like him don't change just because they claim to have found religion.

Newt Gingrich is the ultimate hypocrite, and the fact that his name is brought up at all as a leader in the Republican Party puts lie to the idea that there are any moral standards in the GOP.

jimatmadison of WI 9:52PM May 22, 2010

Hate, fear and wishing ill of other people is so amazing from the left, it's scarey. Some of you people are so pathetic you should be ashamed.

Why don't you look at the falanderers, wrong doers, tax cheats and hate speakers you have in you party before you get so high and mighty and throw stones. May-be you should look at yourselves.

Hunter of WI 5:58PM May 22, 2010

Wow! That's a stretch. I think Rachel Madow put it rather succinctly the other night

about Newt. The fact that he is a member of the "Class of 94" He joins two or three others that have shown out morally &

hypocritcally since 94. What with maritial e4scapades, trysts & hefty fines for bad behavior sum up many of our 'carrer politicians. After accepting a tour encouraged by Pres. Obama along with Al Sharpton, he came back recently with an extreme rant against the president that I think was uncalled for & showed his lack of civility. Poor thing & bless his eart.

Claudia T Thomas of CA 4:40PM May 22, 2010

Easy, Roff. Your love sweat for your old boss is oozing through. I had to wipe off my computer screen twice. At least I hope it was sweat.

BTW, as close to him as you are, you can probably answer this; how many times he cheated on his new wife? We know it isn't zero, or even close to zero. Two women? Three women? Ten?

I love being lectured on morality by scum like Newt Gingrich and his apologists.
