We all know the Bush's 'Tax cuts for the Reich' was a grand failure and ushered in the economic collapse along with unfunded optional wars. But the GOP and their straw men keep repeating the hollow call for tax cuts to remedy this Republican-caused recession. These kinds of lies, exaggerations and deceptions point of the GOP have nothing to offer by reactionary hogwash.

Well Scott Brown ran in liberal holy land and won the thorn of the liberal king.

He stood against obamacare and his agenda. Your Queen Pelosi said vote for obamacare even if it cost your seat in the House.

Seems you are the delusional one.

Pelosi has 14% approval rating and Reid 8%. Reid behind in polls, behind all 3 Republicans. Democrats looking like they are in bad shape come election time.

You have no cause to feel the way you do. Not realistically anyhow. Some would say you have a pipe dream...

You must have a wacked opinion of your own country if you believe the healthcare reform law is anything more than health insurance reform that will benefits a majority of Americans. Get over the lies that this is anything more than RomneyCare in MA that Scott Brown gladly voted for. Its to the right on Nixon's universal healthcare plan. The more the crazies keep up their preposterous grandstanding - the more the healthcare reform law looks like reasonable legislation. So keep up the crazy babble. A much as you convince yourselves your wacked opinions are relevant, you are just convincing everyone else some knuckleheads will keep themselves permanently delusional for some perverse fantasy world. And the rest of us are grateful that mental health treatment will now be available and affordable for these kooks under the new healthcare reform law.

Let's cut all of the appoligistic rhetoric and accept the clear fact that this so called "Health Care" bill is an out and out move by the government to add one more (but major) aspect of our lives to their total control.

Either that's what one desires or it's not.

But no more tattle tale "he did that" stuff.

njguardian of NJ 10:06AM April 06, 2010

Let's get over it. We can all remember certain facts about each administration. Was any one administration without errors? I don't think so. Was there any one administration that proved more than disastrous than any other in modern times? Besides Carter, no. He & his administration are the cause of some of our problems we now face. That was then, this is now. History has proven time and again that tax cuts on savings and investments have have aloud us as a nation to prosper. When you tax more savings are less, the economy suffers. When you expand the entitlement class, you have more people that do not work, more expenses and more corruption. Under Bill Clinton and the divided house and senate we ushered in a new old fashioned philosophy you work we will help, but nothing is free. We had more people trying get ahead. Some were working for the first time in their lives. And they seemed happy. Not everyone of course. There are always the hard core.

Did Clinton make mistakes? Yes. Were there good things that happened during his administration? Yes. Did bad things happen? Yes. Was he the cause of it all? No. The same thing goes for Mr. Busch. But remember, the senate and congress are in large part responsible for many of the issues we face today. They have had many opportunities to do what they know is the right thing and they have failed to do so. Why? Power, control etc… And now we will have to pay the piper. Under this administration we will prolong this recession, we have put our grandchildren in debt. They are printing money not backed by anything, they are borrowing money they can not repay. And all with a smile on their faces.

Time and again I hear in the news where our so called democratic leaders have made slips on the purpose: Control, Socialist advances, Redistribution… But nothing for the 90% of Americans who want to work provide for their families. No they want to take more form us. Wasn’t it enough that they allowed the finance and insurance to run amuck and wipe out most of our savings? And then reward those same individuals and punish the workers again and again? Promises, promises, promises , they all make promises. But his administration did it with a sneer, as if to say suckers. And the leadership that says trust us, trust us and you can read it later. I’m sorry. For those who brought us the SSN that was a great thought and act and then decided they will spend as they go there by making it the biggest ponze skeem ever. I don’t think my 40 years of contributions will ever be paid back with out further debt to our country. They say they will now cut out the fraud waste and abuse. Why didn’t they take care of that first? Why did they allow it to take place for the last 70 years? Because they were complicit in the Fruad Waste AND Abuse. Face it people until you wake up our so called leaders will continue to take money out of your pockets all the while smiling and saying trust me trust m

Your President steals credit from Heritage Foundation saying they believe in obamacare. Is in more recent article. Of course obama lied. You don’t steal trash, you steal from value which is Heritage Foundation.

I am well educated in Reagan, Kennedy, and Bush’s tax cuts. Your most hated source confirms with statistics, graphs, etc. why their tax cuts expanded the rich share of government revenue. Gave our Country longest Bull Stock Market. Bush cuts was triple crown jewel. As I have established in recent day links.

Your sub-prime bad loans to those who can not pay mortgage back Bill Clinton ruined our economy. As your NYTimes/topics shows. Bush began warning year he was elected. Good ole Barney Frank said all was well.

Needed regulations to stop recession was foiled by Democrat vote against. Regulation.

You shame my comments, never. You disprove Clinton did not cause recession. Destroy link that I use to prove it. Provide your links as I do.

Here are videos, easier than reading:

Clinton never had a balanced budget until forced down his throat by Newt and the boys. Government shut down several times.

There was a early recession for Bush. Clinton's big recession hit later.

Bill Hedges of MO 10:32PM April 05, 2010

He is stuck in the 1980s. Bill, under Reagan, the USA became a debtor nation. Could it have been his tax cuts for the rich, while increasing the tax burden on the middle class with the AMT. Bill, Reagan raised taxes as well. Did you forget that? I have cited examples, but obviously you have chosen to ignore them. I know you just keep reading the Heritage Foundation BS and you will stay in the 1980s.

In the NYTimes/topics:

"After significant accounting problems, the companies since 2004 were required to hold 30 percent more capital than the minimum previously required, in effect capping their ability to purchase mortgages.

As the housing market soured, both companies reported steep losses. But the mortgage meltdown also made the companies more important. When the credit markets seized up, Fannie and Freddie regained their central role in mortgage finance after losing significant market share to investment banks during the housing boom. They issued most of mortgage securities sold after investors lost confidence in deals put together by big investment banks.

In February 2008, federal regulators announced that they were easing some restrictions on lending by Fannie and Freddie. Then on March 19, the federal government announced that it was easing those restrictions in an effort to calm the turmoil afflicting the mortgage markets. Officials said the change could allow the two companies to invest $200 billion more in mortgages.

But on July 13, even as top officials continued to insist that the companies had adequate cash to weather the current financial storm, the Bush administration asked Congress to approve a sweeping rescue package that would empower officials to inject billions of federal dollars into the companies through investments and loans.

And the government did just that in early September, when the Treasury secretary, Henry M. Paulson Jr., announced the takeover over of Fannie and Freddie after advisers poring over the companies’ books concluded that Freddie’s accounting methods had overstated its capital cushion. The move to place the companies into a conservatorship also grew out of concern among foreign investors that the companies’ debt might not be repaid."

So, Bill, you go on and say how Bush warned Congress 17 times in 2008, but from what I just cited, Bush and company helped to compound the problem, before they cried "Wolf." There were more sub-prime loans under Bush than Clinton.

Face it Bill, it is your pure hatred for the Democrats, Clintons, and now Obama that you again, can't see the forest for the trees.

With info from you, it is no wonder, I am a Liberal. It takes brains to see things the way they really are, something you seem to be lacking or, is it, dementia?

Tree Hugger of CO 5:58PM April 05, 2010

Bill, you fail to mention that we had a Republican President (Bush) and a Republican congress for six of Bush's eight years. They inherited a surplus generated under Clinton. You need to consider your sources - it is easy to find quotes to support whatever your position is. Unfortunately, your sources all seem to have an agenda.

ebr of PA 3:41PM April 05, 2010

By the way where did I say Bush did no wrong ? Your answer was funny but without provable facts. Just you rambling.

I like to base my political beliefs on truth. You like made up stuff. Wonder why I am not a liberal ??

Like John Kennedy and Reagan tax cuts, Bush tax cut worked the best, except for Clinton's sub-prime bad home loans we would not be in this mess. Factual evidence will not interfere with your opinion.

You must have enjoyed the long list of warnings given by Bush. Unlikely you even opened links. You're not wanting to learn truth.

You wish to dream liberal.

Bill Hedges of MO 6:11PM April 04, 2010

Thanks mickey mouse for proving that there are some people out their who still want to believe that Bush did no wrong, that Bush let the country better off then when he took office, and the facts are irrelevant to if your think Bush is infallible.

People in China are denied information through state censorship, while here in the US we have a bunch of wingnuts who don't want to think for themselves, denying themselves information and seek out wrong information to compliment their squirrely opinions.
