"A hell of an accomplishment" to ram through this monstrosity without even having the courage to vote it up or down?

"A hell of an accomplishment" to trash the Constitution's black letter requirement abuot how legislation must be passed?

"A hell of an accomplishment" to strip away the last remaining protection against an unbridled, temporary, and perfectly partisan Senate majority"

Whew!

A duly elected majority in Congress is a partisan coup?

So now majority rule is elitism?

And now Congress is a mob?

Really governing is 'political arrogance'?

Please. Let's not confuse a narrow minority with "the likes of which the Founding Fathers". No less a minority mocking the Constitution that affords us the people to govern ourselves and to try to reform a broken system. If you really 'revere America as a nation of laws' then you would respect the Constitutional right for the majority to make laws and their courage to do so, despite the noise of a nasty minority mob.

Crying wolf about a coup might rile the wingnuts, and perhaps you're going up the deep-end believing your own mockery on the verge of this major defeat.

Something tells me, Peter, that you didn't vote for Obama. No crime in that. But he did win and healthcare was always a main part of the agenda. Truman, Nixon and Clinton all tried before. If Obama succeeds this week-end it's a hell of an accomplishment.
