“No, Bill Clinton Didn't Balance the Budget”

http://www.cato.org/pub_display.php?pub_id=5656

“Bill Clinton and Democrats caused the recession and Republicans tried to stop it”

“Almost no one realizes that this entire subprime lending mess was created by the Community Reinvestment Act, which was passed by President Carter, a Democrat, in 1977. Later on in the 1990s, Bill Clinton, another Democrat, passed laws to enforce the original bill. The purpose of the CRA is to force banks to make risky loans to people who can’t afford to repay those loans“.

"When polls started showing declining support for the president’s plan, Democrats needed a bogeyman — even if it was one of their allies. Democrats are using the distrust felt by some Americans towards health care companies, particularly the insurance companies, to sell the government’s takeover of health care."

We can thank republicans and Gingrich for this Great Recession.

With ideas like the crude that squandered our economy, we need any more republican good ideas like a hole in the head.

This post hit the nail on the head that the Republicans have nothing to offer Americans but callous abuse. Its apparent to all that it it the lack of ideas, imagination and substantial policy agenda is what is sinking the GOP ship. Americans won;t always be so gullible to be suckerpunched by the slimeball republicans who strive to convince people to vote against their own interests. The 'wholly-owned subsidiary of the insurance companies' formerly known as the Republican Party is one ponzi scheme ripe for bustin'.

If the point is the GOP is all vinegar and no substance, that lame substitute for ideas has just about run out of gas.

Big government saps the blood of the private sector economy. Hurts job creation. There is only so much money. I will be surprised if obama allows Bush cuts to expire. It brought in a lot of revenue. Try to explain that to a Democrat. Just say John F. Kennedy.

I find the Left truths are usually mistaken. It surprises me daily when I research what they say. On a long comment I just stick with the first few. No use doing the whole thing.

One thing for sure is anyone who bad mouths Bush will get my full attention. Not that he was perfect but recession was not his fault.

The racist stuff I TRY to stay away from. Can’t help them here. Just report their comments.

With help from tea party, Newt, etc, Republican party is heading to repeat 95 Newt revolution maybe surpass. Look what one election in MA did. Most voters were Independents. Polls show young leaving obama’s side.

Open GITMO is a thorn in their side. They see the writting on the wall.

It's good to know there's other people out here with common sense and don't mind true facts and the truth...For the left I think it's to much trouble to research the facts,I'm not sure they have common sense.

I know it's really getting old old old how everything they don't agree with turns into a racist, nazi or something issue. How long can they go on embarassing themselves?

The republicans have a couple main ideas (they did loose their way for a while)smaller goverment, lower taxes(we can spend our money better than they can)national security. You'd have to be blind not to see BIG GOVERMENT doesn't work

Republicans have had health plan online for some time:

http://www.gop.gov/solutions/healthcare

Near all polls show dislike for obamacare. Sorry, we get obamacare. If it was good bill wouldn’t have to buy votes would you ??? Still couldn’t pass with majority !

I’ll leave your love of WW2 history to you.

Bill Hedges of MO 2:27AM February 28, 2010

The Republicans have no ideas, just spouting creaky buzzwords from the Reagan years long ago. You can't have a war without ammunition, and the only idea Republicans have come up in the last year is thwart Obama at every turn whether they understand what he's talking about or not.

The only question Republicans face is whether to brand Obama a Nazi or wave a swastika flag at Tea Parties themselves.

Panskeptic of MT 12:02AM February 28, 2010

The problems that we now have, and are about to make worse is do to the continuing growth of inefficient bureaucratic government and the lack of ability of most politicians. Also, once government does it's job, it doesn't go away. It just sticks around and gets bigger. Lets face it, we've created a monster and a society that needs to be led and fed. There is no politician anywhere that will acknowledge that we now have a deadbeat society with their hands out feeling entitled to everything, just because they're citizens. Everyone wants to start at the top without working or getting an education or not even being at the top , just getting a monthly check the size of those at the top. Others before us, simple citizens, have pioneered ahead of us; we owe it to do the same for those coming in behind us, not load them up with $100,000 of debt at birth. Government was created for national security and to allow the free market system to work fairly, and to provide a safety net for those in need, not hordes that just want.

Your head where the sun doesn't shine, ears full of pooh or drunk on kool aid? They have plenty of ideas, most of them mean personal responsibality,may-be something you don't have,or don't care to hear.Besides when it comes to legislating you clowns have had the majority for the past four years, going back to 2007,super majority since 2008!! Who's not doing thier job, thank God!! Seems like you're the joke that makes no sense..

Hunter of WI 10:38PM February 26, 2010

Then this might make sense, but listen then you 'd be asking the Republicans to actually do their jobs, earn their pay and try legislating. Ain't gonna happen. But it's a good joke.
