They had pretty good bet who Scott was, he was in the State's Congress

obama in Senate we know he had a near $1,000,000.00 a day pork habit. Still has that pork habit. Enjoyed voting present on bills.

McCotter believes (perhaps correctly) that voters can be bought with a little rock and roll mixed with guns (the band is "The Second Amendments"). No need to "coalesce around specific policy proposals"---just perfect the art of form over substance.

Dummies beware. Your lunch is about to be eaten by the practitioners of "schtick". Remember, Scott Brown's pickup truck with the NRA sticker is the replacement for Ted Kennedy. (Yes, you heard that right. They elected the truck----since almost no one, even the conservatives, know whe the real Scott Brown is yet.)

Don't be so modest, Bill MO, who can doubt such a pinnicle of integrity who has persuasively decided that this economic downturn was caused by the Democrats contrary to all common wisdom and the ironic results of a major election ousting the GOP and blaming then for driving the country into a ditch while it was the Dems who really screwed everything up. Who can doubt such a sage like you when you declare that this systemic economic collapse was no overnight phenomena but it took the course of eight years of the Bush administration and the twelve years of Gingrich's 'Republican Revolution' to so thoroughly allow the Dems to cause it all. No one could mortgage the country overnight to foreign creditors, or force the outsourcing of almost all US manufacturing offshore, or so thoroughly underfunding education in the US that American corporations have to resort to immigrant labor. This was no quickie. Its all have been the Democrats fault even when the Republicans were in charge. You can't blame a decade of deregulation on the GOP alone because the Dems took back Congress in '06 and the economy was in full recession by early '08.

Contrary to all any Tea party fuss, who can doubt the fiscal irresponsibility of both parties, but especially Republicans in frittering away the economy when they were in charge because it was the Dems who made them do it.

Damn straight, “Democrats caused the recession and Republicans tried to stop it” while the Republicans were in charge with majorities in both houses of Congress, according to Bill Hedges of MO, so the only solution is to never let Republicans back in majorities in Congress. If the The Republicans are running the government while the Democrats screw things up, the answers is simply - don't let the Republicans run the government and then Democrats can't screw everything up.

Bill MO is right, Bush couldn't control Congress, even with Republicans in majority, to prevent the Democrats from stopping Bush from regulating the economy. It must be why Americans figured to simply get rid of Bush and Republican control would let regulation legislation go forward and expose the corruption (under the Republicans watch).

Republicans could not put their ideas in place when they were in charge. If Republicans can't get anything done when they are in the majority, then deny them the cover of gaining any majority. Unless the Republicans can demonstrate they want to govern and offer any solutions, they shouldn't be given any opportunity to blame the Democrats for ruining the economy (under the Republicans watch).

Bush wanted regulations in 2003_ Democrats Stopped

“President Bush Wanted To Fix Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac In 2003, Democrats Didn’t”

“Guess who opposed this new regulation? Homebuilders, who didn’t want it to get more difficult to get a home loan, and Democrats who didn’t want to go back on their demands that everyone (including people who couldn’t afford it) should own a home“

“Democrats caused the recession and Republicans tried to stop it”

“Almost no one realizes that this entire subprime lending mess was created by the Community Reinvestment Act, which was passed by President Carter, a Democrat, in 1977. Later on in the 1990s, Bill Clinton, another Democrat, passed laws to enforce the original bill. The purpose of the CRA is to force banks to make risky loans to people who can’t afford to repay those loans.”

The 12 years of Republican control of Congress following Newt's Contract Against America were just time enough to strip any regulations to keep the financial and banking sectors in check and catapult our economy into this Great Recession. Another swell idea, eh?

Newt=flipflopin'amphibian

Randy J of TX 11:20PM March 01, 2010

It being Newt and the republican in 1994 that balanced the budget.The phrase budget surplus drives me crazy,that simply means the goverment taxed us to much and took my,our spending money away..Oh I forgot they can use it and spend it better than us!!

Once again we can't let history and facts get in the way of the lefts montra
