Considering Frank helped cause our recession, I to rarely agree with him. I do not agree with this quote either. I proved Democrats along with Franks help cause recession in previous comment with actual video of Congressional meeting.

Raising tax on rich lowers government revenues. Lowering tax, increases government revenue.. I expect you to laugh at that. Yet President John F. Kennedy said it. Without statistics and solid evidence you would be correct to laugh. Here is historic proof:

"Things would have sucked worse without me" is not a winning campaign slogan." Is !

“What great things have the Republicans done in the past twenty years? Besides drive us to the brink of financial disaster, be the cause of millions losing their jobs, pensions, homes and savings--”

Stop the lies. Watch Democrats in Congress cause this recession:

Check the many warning by Bush that regulations were needed beginning in 2001:

What you call the ‘no party’ continues to warn and attempts to stop ruination.

obama is making same mistakes as California.

Whatever your party, unless most of your constituents are of the "Don't let Obama accomplish anything" variety, this is a tough time to be an incumbent, particularly if you had hoped to make progress on at least some of the massive problems we face.

While I rarely agree with him, Barney Frank nailed this situation: "Things would have sucked worse without me" is not a winning campaign slogan.

What makes you think it is a glum sign for just the Democrats? What great things have the Republicans done in the past twenty years? Besides drive us to the brink of financial disaster, be the cause of millions losing their jobs, pensions, homes and savings--not to mention the push for low wages and no benefits. I cannot think of one thing the Republicans have done for the middle-class except drive us to the brink of poverty while giving tax breaks to the wealthy. The NO party known as the Republican Party has not done anything better than the Democrats and the voters are just as tired and fed up with the party of "deception, distortion and distraction." They need to be just as worried as the Democrats since the American public still is suffering from the incompetence and corruption of both parties. If the Republicans had any shame, honor and ethics, the first thing they should do is admit they caused our financial problems and have no intention of voting for health reform since they special interest groups are paying their way.

“But if I could create one job in the private sector by helping to grow a business, that would be one more than Congress has created in the last six months.”

The manner of Bayh's departure is a hallmark of the problem the Democrats are having holding on to the power they won in the back-to-back elections of 2006 and 2008.

By bailing out the way he has, Bayh has left it up to the Indiana Democratic Party's leadership--rather than the voters--to pick the nominee who will run in his stead.

"By bailing out in this way..." Exactly the kind of schitt that American are sick to death of. Perhaps these politicians see that Americans are in favor of watering the tree of Liberty and after sucking at the trough and playing the games for decades, they don't want to be the water boys/girls.
