As to all the previous commenters criticizing Mr. Roff, my friend William Shakespeare must have been thinking of folks like you when he penned the words "What fools these mortals be".

Bill did have a way with words, didn't he?

I would rather he admit he was "r-ong" and enlist the experienced professionals that advised Cheney to do what needs to be done -protecting the United States.BTW Frank ,though the considerable difference in their ages, your guy is tight w/ex-Weatherman Ayers ,who built a few I.E.D's for use here, in the Land of his birth. In closing,I don't really believe that Obama has had an epiphany regarding a change of venue for the WTC trials - all that matters is that it happens. Afterward,he can spin it anyway he wants .

If Obama is dangerous for his efforts against terrorism, then things were twice as dangerous under the previous administration. Obama has been twice as tough on terrorist as his predecessors.

Talking tough like Cheney maybe makes you feel less in danger but there was no teeth behind the talk. Cheney and Bush have been asleep at the wheel on Afghanistan, letting terrorism run wild again over there.

Here's a clue when Roff has to fall back a name calling about being tough on terrorism, the Republicans talking points are running a little thin and threadbare - it just proves himself a wimp when he has to heckle us on how tough Cheney fantasizes himself to be.

Obama and his team are working harder than Bush did on terrorism until Bush was blasted out of his reverie by the horrible 9/11 attack.

The difference is that we as a nation should not talk about it constantly and try to use it for political purposes. Defending the nation should not be politicized, as this writer tries to do. Roff is a partisan hack, and his comments are neither accurate or constructive. Security should be bipartisan all the way.

Terrorism is in many places - England, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, all have had attacks, but their lives move along and the politicians and the press do not try to hammer the public with fear-mongering. They have more respect for the public than Mr. Roff seems to have.

The press and the politicians here need to stop pounding about terrorism. Many agencies and qualified individuals are looking into threats and attempting to avert them and deal with them. Accused terrorists will be brought to trial, as they should be. Timely, unlike the Bush approach.

There is no indecision by Obama - just thoughtful action for a change. He is closing Guantanamo, and many of those held will be tried, as they should be. MIlitary terrorists will see tribunals, civilian ones will be tried in Federal courts, JUST THE WAY THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION TRIED THE "SHOE BOMBER".

Change of venue can be wise if it is perceived that a New York court would not yield a fair trial. It is not indecisive to act based on facts. It is really DUMB to comment about these things and imply some sort of weakness.

Wise people sometimes change their minds. Idiots never alter their course, even when it is clear they should. Bush was the latter. Obama is the former.

Roff is just another one who tries to discredit the President, even when there is nothing wrong, and hopes no one notices his facts are wrong....

NOT News...Not Commentary...Just a waste of good space...

Bush stood pat on the issue - and Obama's bluffing when he doesn't even know how high the stakes are.

Just perfect.... Somebody tell me these two jokers aren't the only cards in our deck.

Please take the words "non-partisan" out of your bio...it's painfully obvious that that's a lie.
