Plus the citizens.

AMERICA, STOP PRETENDING WE ARE EXEMPLARY TO THE WORLD

America has lost its soul—and its moral fiber. We catch a terrorist—but we are afraid to try them in any of our courts except in a military tribunal in some offshore area. No other Western industrialized nation does this, and we say that we are exemplary to the world and that we stand on a higher moral ground. Why border detaining, or catching terrorist in the first place? Just kill them outright—just as terrorists do. What moral example can we offer the world any more? Perhaps very little, or none! We can’t have it both ways: either we have a higher moral judicial standard, or we retreat to basically the same standard as terrorists. Offensive and incorrect as this assertion may seem, that’s what it would look like if we cave for the wrong approach in the current debate about where and how to try KSM—an abhorrent figure who has caused us much harm. This is someone we must expect, without doubt in our system, to be convicted as a criminal and executed for his crime. Dishonesty is the bane of modern American politics. Ask any Republican how many terrorists George Bush tried at Guantanamo, he or she wouldn’t be able to tell you. Ask about how many he tried in the civilian criminal justice system, he or she prevaricates, though Bush tried so many. We can’t even find a prison to put them in our soil. What kind of people have we become? Surely, a people whose politicians are damn dishonest and refuse to do the right thin. This is prescription for the demise of the “American empire”—yes, American empire!

Sadly, the neocon brand hasn't been damaged enough to keep slavish hacks from extolling their foreign policy objectives. I don't care what Israel wants, and I guess that makes me unpatriotic.

Peter Roff, a contributing editor, described the attitude of Obama, who is somewhat indecisive toward the war on terror. The subject is defending the country from future terrorist attacks, which remains a top priority for American people.Given about the same degree of attention as the use of the filibuster by Senate Republicans and upbraiding members of the United States Supreme Court , Obama should realize the importance of torrorists.Obama holds the strong emotions to endorse the steos of closing Guantanamo. And he will insist on it.

Chicago or San Franscisco or Las Vegas. Since the Democratic leaders come from those places they should be willing to have the trials in their home cities.
