Obama Seemed Small in State of the Union Address

President Obama said what was needed and, thank goodness, exposed the republicans on their irresponsible, unAmerica behavior.

Not only was he handed more diasters than any president in history, he has to deal with a political party that obstructs everything, whose goals are party first, win at any cost and destroy our president. A party that is putting their honor, integrity,survival and representing the American people on the back burner for the sake of big business, greed, power, obstruction and their political games.

is as good as it gets in speechmaking by a president. That's why the GOP liars are so quick to try to make fun of it.

A small president for a small people. As evidenced by partisans on both the Left and the Right, the American people have become a petty, little people - only their egos remain large. Such a shame.

Obama=Nixon? really???

This article is an example of the resistance, unbound by Reason, that Obama is dealing with in Washington. To his credit, he is still willing to use the good ideas that come from the right to fix the serious problems we are facing.

I can only dream that the pundit class would take their jobs seriously as well instead of hoping to score cheap political shots.

Typical response from a right wing hack. Why even bother asking fro a response from a Republican, their minds are already closed.

Why don't you try reporting on the GOP response to the SOTU? It's amazing how McDonnell could set their with a straight face and claim that his speech seemed "partisan" after seeing the GOP resist everything Obama has tried to do in teh first year.

Hope that we will quit pretending that we aren't broke. Hope that we will begin to face the real problems like adults. Hope that the next election will bring someone who loves the USA, and wants to return her to a path of greatness.

Again we get more fill-in copy and inebriated slapstick commentary from a closed mind, one who seems to hate this country so much that failure is his only goal for the US. This comin' from a rigid reactionary who would turn back the clock to relive the disasters of Bush and Cheney all over, unable to distinguish his own lies from lobbyist talking points. Narrow-minded short-sighted derogatory rap might be cool with the wingnuts and the lobbyists pulling their puppet strings, but again you prove yourself consistent in trying to undermine this country with your typical monotonous 'America Last' sloganeering. There might be some folks in Afghanistan who might believe you anymore, but don't count on it.

hopes, dreams and goals are an easy sell - they require nothing of substance, principle, or character - perfect for Obama's style. Style and ego are all he has - an attractively wrapped empty box.
