Democrats Have Only Themselves to Blame for Filibuster Problems

The current Health Care bill definitely falls far short of what many Americans who voted last year expect. For those who think "doing nothing" or letting the present status quo continue are people who care just about themselves and their own selfish comfort. They are like the "do-nothing" Republicans who want to kick the can down the street and hope things will automatically change. Doing nothing is not an option it will only exasperate and bankrupt people and the nation.

Those who voted last November are far greater in numbers than the sore-losers and expect that the current rotten and corrupt system be replaced with one that provides fair value to those who pay. The current rotten system is like a "Swiss Cheese" that keeps costing more and simultaneously providing less every year. All those who had a better solution pesticides "doing nothing" and obstructing, like their sore-looser Republicans friends, still have an opportunity to play a constructive role. Put up ot shut-up.

The Republicans had absolute power for eight years and they didn’t lift a finger except, warmongering and sending this country into a sink hole.

The Obamacare bill is nothing but a contract with senators for buying votes; back door deals and sleeze. The bill does not contain medical cost; increases taxes; reduces medical care; reduces quality care; puts big brother between the patient and doctor; raises the national debt; penalizes responsible people who have insurance; increases payroll taxes. Can anyone tell me anything that is good about this bill.

The fillibuster is the only means of keeping Autocrat Reid in check and that hasn't worked well. The Tyranny of the majority has proven that American voters must be careful to determine the candidates ideology before they vote. We now must weigh whether they are pro constitutional or whether they are socialist.

This bill is a piece of junk, thats why good and decent people who care about real health and real care want to dump this farce.

I wonder how many people who reportedly "oppose" health care reform have ever been without health care insurance and had to face a critical illness, a chronic health problem?

I have.

I had chest pains and was taken by a friend to the county hospital; without insurance I sat right by the admissions desk in the waiting room for hours to be seen. When I was finally seen a few basic tests were run quickly and then I was told I could go home. If I actually had been having a heart attack who knows what would have been the outcome with such a long wait.

What my friend and I witnessed, however, was interesting. Those with insurance were being treated more quickly than those without -- regardless of symptoms -- although everyone was supposedly "triaged." Later I received an enormous bill that took forever to pay but pay it I did with the help of family and friends who helped as best they could.

Thankfully, I now have health insurance and don't have to worry how quickly I will be seen or the costs involved.

Now the Democrats are trying to change things. All the Republicans can do is say 'NO' and lie and spread fear to hinder health care reform. Why? Because the health care insurance industry as already donated over $10 million to the opponents of health care reform.

Heaven forbid that the companies that rake in huge premiums and deny coverage and claims left, right and center should have to lose a penny of profit.

America should be ashamed of itself. Other major industrialized nations have a national health care plan, but not America.

Profit before people!

We have forgotten the parable of the Good Samaritan.

Jesus wept over Jerusalem; He must be sobbing over America.

The article makes valid points regarding process and how Democrats have used it; however, it ignores that the position taken by the Republican leadership was to see NO health care bill pass regardless of form or content. They viewed it as imperative to defeat the legislation and thus defeat the President. If the news coverage can be believed, the Republicans used the committee process only to obstruct the Democrat proposal. I still don't know of any real Republican reform proposal and I have followed the debate closely. Repeating slogans and pledging to maintain status quo doesn't count as reform.

But then again looney tunes will ignore history even though you've pasted to their nose. These are the dolts who would argue that it's not raining even though they stand in the rain.

You will find that dyed in the wool liberals will point their grubby fingers and castigate the Republicans for their filibuster use.

Yet, why shouldn't the minority party in congress use the filibuster tool when dealing with drakonian libs like Pelosi and Reid who goose-step to the beat of Obama's drum.

Despite their majority status in Congress, the Democrat party better wake-up and realize that they also represent a sizable portion of the American electorate that did not vote for them but who also have an equal stake in America's future. Their failure to recognize that fact will have massive consequences in 2010 election.

At long last, have our Democrat representatives no shame? They simply refuse to listen to you and me, their electorate.

The 2010 election will be held on Tuesday 2 November, with at least 36 of the 100 seats in the Senate being contested as well as all U.S. House seats.

Change the House, change the Senate and all these bad decisions will be reversed.

Fellow citizens and seniors, we can't take the risk. Our representatives and AARP are not working for us.

When you come to realize you no longer have access to certain medical procedures will a "sorry, we got it wrong" from the White House satisfy you? Let every vote you cast and every word you utter send a message to Congress. Your congressman is not listening to you. Your voice is your vote.

It is not taxing the rich that is going to be the problem, it is going to be lack of access to health care.

When AARP does not represent the views of their membership, they should be declared a political organization and their tax exempt status removed.

No more political assassination of our CIA.

No more radical Czars.

No more efforts to bankrupt our country

No more attempt by the Government to take over health care in America.

No more turning a blind eye to illegal immigration.

No more introducing and voting on bills that have not even been read.

As we approach the 2010 elections, congressional placating will begin in earnest as they individually "get it".

Unfortunately, after the election, they go back to voting party. Be weary of recent converts.

Take back your country.....VOTE
