Obama Isn't Weak on Terrorists, But He Is Weaker

Of course the only polls ever mentioned here are because Republican Rasmussen because he's the only pollster paid to find even the faintest silver lining that might favor Republicans. Hogwash like this just confirms the bogus premises any clown could conjure up the worst kind of hocus-pocus found here regularly.

Bottomline: Rasmussen is wrong, again.

Fact is Republicans have been running a ponzi scheme to perpetuate fear while flimflamming their war against terrorism, unfortunately the scheme was all crony war profiteering to make NeoCons rich while leaving AlQaeda alone to get stronger and to continue expanding their operations. Get the people addicted to fear and sell your fear mongering with your forever war.

Remember McCain's 100 years in Iraq babble - tell me who the hell was going to be paying for that fiasco.

97% of the Blacks,87% of Latinos and 100% of illegal Mexicans paid by A.C.O.R.N. with Federal funds voted Obama in.

Republican voters voted for Obama in cross primaries to keep Mrs.Clinton from winning.

A.C.O.R.N. used Fed funds to buy votes in primary caucus states.

Whites voted for Obama to prove they weren't prejudiced like their parents were.

Senile old McCain and "you betcha" were his only competition.

I guess no one knew that his brothers under the skin were all Muslims.

Other than the idiots in the American Civil war,you don't fight your brothers.

When Obama get's impeached, instead of being imprisoned,he'll finally show his long form birth certificate to prove he was born in Kenya, and ask to be exiled there.

Sam of Ny, you criticize Bush/Cheney for not capturing Osama or defeating Al Queda, but your messiah has been president for a year and has not caught Osama or defeated Al Queda either.

And for you to say "These immature responses attacking Obama would be humorous if we didn't get the idea they're really cheering on the bad guys." ... that is just silly. The left did the exact same thing while Bush was president and people like you said "dissent is patriotic."

You seem to make the point that we have made no progress in the war on terror. You really need to read more. Al Queda has been beaten down badly. And Bush/Cheney did a great job of preventing terrorist attacks for 7 years. Obama can hardly bring himself to admit there is a problem. PLEASE BE MORE OBJECTIVE!!!! I counted at least instances of name calling in your post. Nice.

And what is a "criminal militant?" Are you confused?

Robert of TX 3:08AM January 05, 2010

I have read a few posts by Peter Roff and I am SHOCKED by the fact that they seem somewhat fair and balanced and very informative. Wow!!! I would have never suspected this from US News....maybe I am confusing them with Time and Newsweek???

Keep up the good work Mr. Roff.

Robert of TX 3:00AM January 05, 2010

"Any twelve year old with internet access could rip apart everything you say in this piece"

So why can't you? You call the work drivel, but offer no specific criticisms.

Rich of CO 12:42PM January 04, 2010

How lame to keep up the snide attacks on the President, especially with such dumb arguments. We all want to make sure he keeps an eye on the ball against terrorism, but where were all you chickenhawks when Bush and Cheney dropped the ball. There's no excuse for political hacks to continue to complain about our efforts to fight criminal militants, who are all too happy to encourage Americans to be internally divided about security.

These immature responses attacking Obama would be humorous if we didn't get the idea they're really cheering on the bad guys.

Keep up the nonsense Roff, just as its great to have feeble EX-VP Cheney to keep chiming in - its too obvious that Cheney has left things a lot worse off than when his term started. Every time we hear the geezer Cheney and his clones, it just reminds us again that his administration failed to capture Bin Laden or defeat Al Qiaeda.

The NeoCons keep reminding us of the failed slogan "War on Terror" which to most of us has come to mean more then Bush and Cheney's scandalous crony war profiteering that bankrupted the country and now its apparently accomplished nothing against the terrorists that attacked us in 2001.

The GOP already proved it couldn't do any better than Obama is doing now. So we just need to get behind the President to defeat terrorists, and quit the backbiting that just encourages the enemy.

Sam of NY 7:11PM January 02, 2010

There is so much in your paltry diatriabe.

Here's the first of many points:

I don't know what opaque glass your looking through, but their is no "transparency." The Democrats just voted for bill that potential has sweeping changes to America's health care system. Yet the bill was voted on by Democrats who 1) never read the bill. 2) did so in the dead of night. 3) Gave away freebies and concessions (Where is the fairness for the 49 other states in the Nelson/Nebraska give away . . . I read that story. It was called Cinderella with the ugly/spoiled step sisters). 4) the bill was conspicuously abscent any Republican involvement. Republicans still represent nearly half of the United States Population. Reid/Pelosi literally shut out half of American with this legislation.

Point 2: You wrote: "As long as we engage in military occupations and attmpting to control other countries, there will be groups that feel they must act against us by performing acts of terrorism." So what? We beat the enemy into oblivion because they might get mad at us. Look, that doesn't work on the playground with the bully and it doesn't work in war. That's called appeasement. Brittons Neville Chamberlain tried to use that with Hitler and look what happened. Now we half Obama visa-vie Secretary of State Hillary Clinton doing the same thing with North Korea. Let's give them millions of dollars in aid and maybe they'll be happy and leave us alone.

Let's give the bully our lunch money and maybe he'll leave us alone. Rrrrigggghhhttt. He punched me in the nose, maybe we should be his friend and try to understand why he punched me in the nose. Bulls--t!

I didn't grow up in "green acres" South Carolina. But if a bully bloodied your nose you damn well better bloddy his, and while your at it take out a few teeth, break a jaw, and take out a few of his bully buddies while your at it.

Understand that brute force is the ONLY thing these people know and respect. You assume that peasant Afghans and Iraqis respect the rule of law. That's only true in your little fantasy, utopian left wing world. How do you think Saddam Hussein kept Iraq under his thumb? Brute force! That is literally all these people know and understand.

I'll be ok with making nice and being friends after these terrorists and sponsors of terrists are obliterated. Like Patton said, "It's easy to control the hearts and minds when you've grabbed them by the balls." What we have is a Commander in chief and commanders on the ground who are more afraid of opinion polls. Where's Norman Schwarzkopf when you need him?

Point 3) if Obama is so tough on terror and such a "strong" commander in chief, then why did he dither to make the decision to send troops? Lolly-gagging, reading tea leaves, weighing opinion polls, conducting analysis-paralysis is not only weak and spineless, but it demonstrates lack of leadership and character.

R L Shaeffer is right, political correctness has paralyzed this nation. From Fort Hood to the knickerbomber, we tried really hard not to offend anybody and the results were disastorous at Fort Hood and nearly so at Detroit.

It's time to start fighting the real enemy and leave grannies alone.

R L Shaeffer is right, political correctness has paralyzed this nation. From the Fort Hood masacre to the knickerbomber, we chose to be sweet and tried not to offend anyone and it was a horrible mistake. it's time to call a spade a spade and start going after these crazy SOBs before we aren't able to board flights at all.

allen of MS 2:54PM December 31, 2009

Dusting those areas where terrorists are hiding with a slightly radioactive powder will make it easier to spot a terrorist with a gieger counter. Or use some chemical that will be detectable but harmless to people.
