Health Reform Politics Proving Hazardous to Democrats

I remember well what Obama campaigned on regarding a public option. If nothing else what this Health Care debate has shown is how many politicians are in bed with the insurance companies, both Dems & Repubs. It willbe sad indeed if we do not get some meaningful reform from this bill. However I do not see that happening. What we have is a train wreck of major proportions.

The democrats will be very sorry come next election, hopefully sooner.

This is an bill to give the Grinch. Kill the Bill as advised by Howard Dean. Praying that Senator Nelson stops this atrocity against the American people, 60% of whom are verifiably against it. For the sake of the country, someone needs to stand against this.

There is a good alternative to the Senate bill. It is the house bill. Democratic Senators who go along with Liberman are going to pay in 2010 because they will loose votes from the left. That includes Harry Reid.

Obama says he has to have a bill or he will loose face. He will loose more face with his base if he gets a bad bill. Frankly, right now I think Harry Reid would loose more votes then he would gain if he had Obama campaign for him. Activist Democrats have pretty much decided Obama is wishy washy and needs to be forced into doing the right thing.

That doesn't mean I'm going to vote Rebublican, but I sure might vote for the Green party.
