Boxer fits it to a T. She has no facts, so therefore, act like the junkyard dog she is and attack those who are shining the light of truth on Climategate.

Horsewhipping would be a kind and just treatment for her!

This one guy has proven that all of the thousands of scientists and researchers who say that global warming is man made are liars and part of a massive leftist conspiracy because they want to...uh, well because it would allow them to...uh..BECAUSE THEY'RE ALL LIBRULS and GLOBAL WARMING IS A LIE and this proves it just like Bernie Madoff proved that all Republican capitalists are scheming, greedy, crooks! ALL OF THEM!!!.

Possibly there is Global Warming-I can remember ice skating as a kid for days at a time at a local lake and there is no way that could happen now and it hasn't happened in many years.

The problem with this whole Global Warming thing is not whether it is occuring but rather if it is,is it caused by man? I recall learning in school about the Viking explorations around the year 1000 AD,and that they were able to do these explorations due to the lack of sea ice. One of their "discoveries" was Greenland and it is doubtful they named it that because it was covered in ice and snow-they were blood-thirsty warriors-not a bunch of big jokers.

Could this warming a thousand years ago have been manmade-very doubtful. This then also calls into question the dire consequences that are being predicted by those who believe that the problem is manmade-since there are still Polar Bears and Pacific Islanders around after that period of warming.

What if these people are wrong about the long term trend of Global Warming and our present situation is just a blip in the long term cooling of the planet? Would actions taken now to allieviate the warming problem (that is not really a problem)actually speed up long term cooling once this blip is past and then where would we be-we will have destroyed all our greenhouse gas production facilities which,I am sure, the alarmists of the future will feel are necessary to stop Global Cooling.

Your web page states that you do not trust studies funded by those who deny global warming. But it appears you do trust studies funded by the UN that claim global warming is primarily due to man made carbon output.

There are vested interests on both sides. The UN is using global warming as a platform to transfer hundreds of billion of dollars from developed countries to less developed ones. There is a great incentive for those promoting man made global warming to make their case. The recent relevations regarding the E-Mails from Great Britian prove this.

I agree that the earth has been warming. I'm not convinced that all of that warming is due to man made carbon output. I think we should do more to conserve our resources. But raising energy prices by a hundered billion dollars per year in the US and sending a lot of that money overseas seems foolish to me.

I would also like to see your personal plan for cutting your family's carbon footprint by 30% over the next ten years. You need to walk the walk, not just talk the talk.

engaged in selective fact-picking?

The issue is complicated enough that the average Joe can't reach an objective decision on his own, and must rely on scientists to guide our decisions. That's what makes the e-mails troubling; it suggests a lack of objectivity.

The one thing I do know is that if we wait until the evidence is incontrovertible, it will be too late to do anything about it; the tipping point will have been passed. Whether you think climate shifts are due to natural climate cycles or human activity, it seems a good idea to stop drilling holes in the bottom of the lifeboat in either case.

Boxer has an agenda, facts be damned. Boxer's agenda will destroy California, and America.

She pushed ethanol on America - and it is destroying our fuel system. http://www.opei.org/ht/a/GetDocumentAction/i/1926.

She has blocked rare earth metals mining - and it prevents America from making the very high tech alternative devices she touts http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/01/business/global/01minerals.html?_r=1

She has blocked America from using its over $40 TRILLION in oil assets, that would otherwise make America energy independent, defund our enemies, and create millions of high paying jobs.

She voted for bailouts.

She voted for out of control government.

And the voters keep re-electing her?

A changing climate - my that's a novel idea... I mean, who could have known?

Government has co-opted Environmentalism nearly to the point of making it the official "state" religion. For the government it's all about control of industry, food, energy and ultimately populations.

Much of the "science of "Global Warming" and Environmentalism is no more than the alchemy of changing every product and endeavor of mankind into some sort of threat to the planet, species or ecosystems. In this neo-pantheist world we must atone for our sins by becoming green, or at least buy the indulgences of carbon credits (algore really rakes in the "green" on those). The penitent can recycle, eat vegan, take cold showers, turn their thermostats down and walk to work. If our souls aren't green enough the Nature Goddess won't allow the ambrosial nectar to flow in the afterlife, instead we become mere lumps of humus in Her garden.

People, awaken from your zombied-out, green stupor. Eco-ticians like Al Gore, Pelosi and Boxer and their kind kind are not the saviors of the planet. They are gaining wealth and power by exploiting your fears and prophacizing a doomed earth. Their "science" is nothing more than crystal gazing, and the wizardry of smoke, flame and mirrors - creating an illusionary world where maybes become certitudes, and models turn into reality.

Going Green Has Gone Too Far.

Ms/ Boxer is right. Hacker laws were written to punish those who would steal from others, or hurt innocent people.

If the hacker laws would in any way attempt to punish those who would couragously expose fraud, conspiracy or profiteering, especially of publicly funded institutions that would also be a scandal.

Don't let these snakes hide behind their flawed laws.

I could be paddling a rowboat down Market Street in San Francisco after the poles have melted, and there will still be conservative fanatics who deny that humans are responsible for Global Warming or that it is even real. I invite you to my web-pages devoted to raising awareness on this urgent issue: http://pltcldscsn.blogspot.com/2009/12/conservatives-still-deny-global-warming.html
