What?!!! Marxist and Fascist are at opposite ends of the political spectrum and it's impossible to be both? Shut up! Stop confusing me with your logic!!! Thank God that America is safe now that Saddam is dead!!!

"Texas needs to secede. Texas can govern ourselves much better without US mandates and US taxes."

Yeah, It will be a great place to live then. Every highway will be a toll road that only rich people will be able to use. The public school system will be dismantled and replaced by a corporate school system where the goal is not to educate, but to maximize shareholder value. We'll be flooded with illegal Mexicans because there is nothing Texas Republicans like better than cheap labor unless it's free labor. Health care? Forget it. Pollution? Get used to it. College will only be for the rich because everyone else is just a freeloader. You won't be able to go to college, but your gun will. It will be illegal to teach Biology, Astronomy, or Geology because those sciences all contradict the bible. The Flintstones we'll be considered a documentary. We'll still teach some math as long as it doesn't have any of that crazy x=y stuff. We won't even need a state government. We'll just let the corporations write all the laws that may affect them. Don't want a natural gas drilling rig next door to the day care center? To bad, you communist! Unemployement insurance? Don't make me laugh, you Pinko! It's your fault you're unemployed. Your doctor sawed off both your legs instead of taking your tonsils out? Sorry, but you can't sue him because that would be a "frivolous lawsuit" and we outlawed those as part of "tort reform". You think your insurace company should do something besides collect premiums? Shut up you Marxist, Fascist! You liberal, looney commie Nazi! Your parents are old and have exhausted their savings on medical care leaving them homeless? To bad! They should have taken "personal responsibility". They should have known that a half million dollars in savings could be wiped out by a catastrophic illnesss and saved 10 time that much. There's a vacant lot down the street where they can sleep now. Yeah, an independent Republican of Texas! I can't wait!!

There will be a greater Cost to this Nation if healthcare costs are not reformed and stabablized! It makes no good sense for anyone to oppose healthcare reform. It seems some are more worried about Insurance companies being crowded out due to competition and lower costs than the Health of the people, some who will surely die. Some are more concerned for the bottomline of the Insurance Companies than the small businesses (who they Pretend to care about) who have to pay high premiums for their employees, forcing some out of business, some to offer no health insurance, or some to set up shop elsewhere other than the United States! Small businesses will not be forced to offer health insurance for their employees but employees will have the option to buy their own affordable healthcare from a public option! And why do we have so many kinds of crises in this country????

It is too bad that we have a certain group -- the Party of No and Fear -- who are Advocates of Can't, Won't, Shouldn't, Distortion, Fear, Hatred and Divisiveness. They are a dark group, a bitter group, concerned only for Corporate Greed and corporate Profit, who do not believe that government can work because they do not want it to work! For too long we have been spoon-fed a bunch of lies and fears by these powers who want to immobilize us, paralyze us and confuse us and to keep us circling the Yellow Brick Road! Again, why do we have so many crises in this country???

And, It is a sad fact that the Afghanistan War is also a false war and a false choice. These terrorists do not stay in one place or in one country, they are all over. We are not at war with any one country, this is a fallacy. WE are in a "struggle" with an ideology, yes or evil, yes, but we are not at war with any country. Since, we have terrorists in our own country who are not Muslims, does this make us at war with the United States?

OH, if we only had a Brain....., Courage....., Heart/LOVE!

I'm in Pete Sessions' district, and I'm sick and tired of him blasting Democrats for their health care plan. At least they're trying to do something, which is more than Pete Sessions ever did. Go to the Sessions Watch channel at YouTube and watch him respond to a constituent with concerns about health care--he tells her to tell it to Obama! Unbelievable.

Eight years in power and not one damn thing done about health care by the Republicants either. But now they have their two cents they want to chip in. I'm tired of Republicans and there do nothing agenda. You republicans left this country in an absolute mess. I'm sick of you and your anti- American, anti- Christian, anti- family agenda. Just bend over and pound sand!

opening clinics already. Many people will pay for speedy - perhaps sub-standard medical care - instead of waiting for a bureaucrat to decide if they are worthy of treatment.

Welcome to our "changed and redefined America". As Obama said in Denver 15 months ago, 'Now is not the time for small plans... We must redefine America." Well, he's certainly keeping those two promises.

The country is bankrupt 10 times over and the goofy eco-socialists won't be improving the situation. Waving the magic Obamawand is not gonna fix it either. Hope the "O" man has a plan beyond the bumper sticker slogans and printing more phony money - but I sort of doubt it.

Larry Kilgore of TX 10:09PM November 19, 2009

"Reform is necessary". Right. Not one single Republican thought health care was an issue before Obama beat McCain/Palin like a drum. Now all the Republicans want to say, "We know we need reform, but....."

Your ideas were rejected by the electorate. After 8 years of incompetence, they finally got fed up. Privatizing social security, no taxes for the wealthy, deregulation, corporate welfare, nation building. Yeah, You guys have some great ideas. You get a chance to vote again in a year or so. Until then, lump it.

"83% of citizens satisfied with present healthcare"

About right. The other 20% are the ones without any insurance, to whom the Republicans say, "screw you".

To you morons here in Texas with the "Secede" stickers on the back of your car, I say, "America, Love it or Leave it." Move to Paraguay. Low taxes, no social safety net, small government. It's a neoncon utopia. Don't let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out.
