Obama's Olympic Sales Pitch Oils the Daley Political Machine

This blog post and most of the comments are symptomatic of what's wrong with this country. President Obama takes a short overnight trip (coming back the next day, and I'm sure with all his usual other meetings and briefing and no "sight seeing") to promote something that would help the US economy, and most of you criticize him for wasting time or somehow "convicting" him of being corrupt. Where's your evidence? You're just looking for excuses to criticize him. If President Bush had done this to promote the Olympics in Dallas or Houston, would you have gotten all huffy about it then too?

It is my opinion that Chicago should not get the Olympics. It is already smells really stinky. The Obamas and Valerie Jarrett are thick as thieves and Jarrett seems like she could make a great deal off this deal. Chicago doesn't deserve the Olympics because of it's long standing corruption.

No doubt that the Daley Machine needs their President to work for them when timing is crucial. He'll make the sales pitches. Iran, health care, economy all take more than talk. So he'll do what he best at, talk and pay back his master.

going to bat for Chi-town - political favors due me thinks. And, a chance for his euro-fans to adore him. It's all good for the "O"man, but he will have to curtail his America bashing a little - Don't want to spit on somethin' you're tryin' to sell.
