Democrats Want to Keep the People in the Dark on Healthcare Reform

If President Obama wants to complete his first term without having his agenda co-opted and exchanged for one of impeachment procedings, allegations of un-constitutional abuses of power and questions about his "real" agenda, he'll need to ACTUALLY begin comporting himself with transparency and presenting answers to legitimate questions about his policies. After the debacle over HR3200, where the FACTS differed so mightily from the broad ASSERTIONS about what was "in the bill", America doesn't TRUST him. After the breech of trust, and amid attempts to SHAME the questioners as racist nut-jobs, there is ONLY ONE OPTION: Show us the BILL, explain HOW it meets the objectives, and respond to the legitimate concerns of the electorate.

Simple, right?

Allen, THe Baucus bill is already online! Finance.senate.gov....along with every one of the 500+ ammendments. This is political games to blame that they are hiding something, the ammendment hearings are broadcast live all day long on CSPAN. The 2 week issue had to do with ammendments being scored by CBO, and then posted online, the problem is every time there is a modification it would have to be re-scored by CBO, even if it has no dollar impact. The reality is that would grind the committee to a halt and they would be doing ammendments for probably a year. It was politcal stunt. I repeat the bill is ALREADY ONLINE...as well as every possible ammendment!

This jam-it-down-their throats abuse of power is precisely what throws the Democratic Party out of power time and time again, and will yet again in upcoming elections.

Democratic Machine piggishness and obsession with power, in the form of Speaker of the House Jabba the Hog herself, clearly hasn't changed; only gotten worse with Chicago Machine thugs in the White House.

the us goverment should never have any involvement in the private sector. there are certain things they should be watching and looking out for the american people and there are many things they should never get involved in

( unless they are directly called upon by the american people).

the us gov. has seemed to fogot just what their job is!

their job as elected to serve us officals is to listen to us, listen to the states, keep us safe, pass laws to allow ease of buisness to operate here and abroad etc. it is my opion that the us gov. should directly have nothing to do with money. this should be left to reprsentives select by every state, this would their soul job with out obstruction and prejudice to slice up the money that come into the treasury. the us gov. should have a budjet for items needed inside and outside the country with an acountability of where every dime will go, but their main function should be to represent our needs. we are america, we are a group of people that are on the edge of cutting technolgy, life and freedom. understanding that technology has a cost and profit just like life and freedom do, that profit is used to stay solvent, being solvent is knowing in order to succeed some of that profit needs to be spent for support from other layers of private business and this goes on layer after layer down to the guy that comes everyday in the lunch truck. this is the great american machine turning, this is what provides jobs for millions w/health insurance and pays the taxes to keep our infrastructure, s.s, medicare, medicaid etc. going. everytime the us gov. gets involved in money it is miss spent,or lost, or over payed and we have a deficit (an amount in default of requirments). can you imagine a company in the private sector getting away with this, ha! no we don't need the us gov. running health care we need them to clean up their act and over see the way health care is provided like resticting frivolous laws suits that have doctors insurance threw the roof, regulating insurances companies on outrages healthcare premiums most companies and individuals can't afford, no one can be turned away for preexisting or for their inablility to afford excellent health care, premiums could be structured to ones income with a tax deduction for having it, asking doctors whats needed to treat people not insurance companies telling them whats covered and whats not. no the us goverment dosn't need to run healthcare they need to listen to us, after all arent (we the people)

Liberal Members of Congress are openly declaring a War of Choice on Our Choices in Health Care by including the provision for an Individual Mandate in health care reform legislation.

With the shamelessness of consummate BS artists, they have given this legislation the Orwellian name, “America's Affordable Health Choices Act.”

Liberal legislators apparently hope that We the American people are so stupid that we will "buy" this pleasant sounding health care reform without noticing the steep price -- lost liberty.

The "Individual Mandate" is just one of several provisions that violate individual rights. This provision, which is included in ALL of the bills fermenting in both houses of Congress, is the most disturbing provision. I do not understand why people from all political persuasions -- from the ACLU to the John Birch Society -- are not screaming bloody murder about this grossly immoral and unconstitutional violation of individual rights.

The government has no moral or constitutional authority to (a) force people to buy insurance -- whether they need or want to or not, (b) force people to buy plans with specific coverage -- whether they need or want this coverage, and (c) force people to buy plans with a specific deductible -- whether they need or want this deductible or not.

The Individual Mandate gives the government a fascist foot in the door to control the doctor-patient relationship and, as such, must be resisted by all freedom-loving people.

If the Individual Mandate were to be signed into law, it would set a powerful precedent that would threaten liberty in ALL areas of our lives.

Talk about a slippery slope!

If the government has the right to do this do us, what can’t it do?

Why even pretend anymore that we have individual rights or a constitution to protect them?

Even the CBO in 1994 wrote:

"A mandate requiring all individuals to purchase health insurance would be an unprecedented form of federal action. The government has never required people to buy any good or service as a condition of lawful residence in the United States. An individual mandate would have two features that, in combination, would make it unique. First, it would impose a duty on individuals as members of society. Second, it would require people to purchase a specific service that would be heavily regulated by the federal government."

Americans must put unrelenting political pressure on Congress to make sure they protect us against these fascist assaults on our liberties.

Contact your legislators and the Blue Dogs TODAY and tell them to oppose the Individual Mandate and the rest of Obama’s War of Choice on Our Choices in Health Care!

Tell them to oppose any provisions that authorize the government to violate the individual's rights to choose what is best for one self.

There's no doubt that the final Senate and House Bill will be put on the web for "We The People" to view for several days

before the vote. How can I be so certain? Because Barak Obama

is a man of his word. He promised many times while running for

the Presidency that there would be TOTAL TRANSPARENCY within

the government under his watch.

Senator Max Baucus obviously knows nothing about computers

and the web if he honestly believes that it would take 2 weeks

for the final Senate Bill to be put online. The House put HR

3200 on the web in .pdf searchable format in under 48 hours

after it was finalized. Perhaps Senator Max should cross the

street and borrow the House's I.T. people for a couple of hours!

If he doesn't put it online Senator Baucus had better start

polishing up his resume. The people of the U.S. and (hopefully)

the President himself, will not be happy campers at all.

As an expert on the Constitution, Obama knows just how to get around it, so he can do what he wants to do. I hope we haven't elected a dictator who bends the country's law to his own bidding. What he and the Democrat Ruling Group are doing sure looks like 1984 has finally arrived. The system of checks and balances are no longer functioning as the founding fathers had planned. At the rate Obama is going, there is going to be great civil unrest when many groups are short changed.

The Congress is lucky that we don't tar and feather people anymore. Their actions are a total disrespect to the people they are supposed to represent.
