The insurance company may have violated health privacy laws when it used enrollees’ names and addresses to send the letters. Patient names and addresses are protected health information under the HIPAA Privacy Rule, which is enforced by the HHS Office of Civil Rights (OCR), not CMS. However, we have yet to hear a reaction from OCR or HHS in this matter. After years of lax enforcement of the Privacy Rule the public has a right to expect that their personal data is better protected. CDT wrote an article that calls on OCR (and HHS) to aggressively enforce HIPAA rules and make clear that patients' personal data cannot be used to achieve an company's political goals. There has to be a grass root movement to either vote Obama out of office or to impeach him; he has overstepped the authority given to the President by the Constitution. It will have to be a grass root movement becaus of the ineffectual representation of our elected officials in Congress. Only then will there be peace and quiet in our country. You know it and I know it to be true. Stop giving Obama so much credit when he has destroyed the value of the dollar and started the trend of superinflation that many countries have experienced. You would think a student of history would have learned this.

Obama care is just the tip of the iceberg....allowing for a "Muslim day of Prayer" in our nation's captital is an outrage and an attack on America. Also, allowing the communist chinese flag to fly in this country next to our American Flag borders on treasonous actions. We need to vote Obama out of office and the rest of his anti American colleagues.
At least for now we still have freedom of speech in America.

The gag order was clearly in violation of the First Amendment to the Constitution. We cannot allow our leaders the privilege to trample the Constitution, be they in whatever party they represent. If we are a nation of laws -- and those laws have consequences -- we must demand that Humana be allowed to speak freely even if their statements do not fit the current administration's present narrative. Furthermore, the administration must be checked by the Judicial Branch, as it has overstepped its authority and is treading illegal waters now.

Somehow President Obama has jumped to an illogical conclusion that a nation outraged at health care for illegals, will embrace instead an amnesty and full benefits to the same illegal aliens, later this year. Obamacare makes you sick but amnesty will kill us!

Please clarify, what does a city council meeting have to do with health care,republican investments in big business,private sector keeping promises,having a drivers lic., you lost me.

Actualy the constitution does not limit free speech to just individuals. It was an individual who wrote the letter to seniors from the corporation in question. Where in the Constitution does it give the Government or Administration the right to free speech and allow it to diseminate false information to the American people. As I said befor no one in the adminstration denied what the article said, they just did not want the information given out. They have attempted to stiffel all the news that does not say what the OBAMA adminstration wants said. No matter what Glen Beck may say, if the Government attempts to stop free speech, that is Socialism plain and simple.

In a city counsel meeting: One of the city counsel members in trying to make his argument made himself look very irresponsible and not someone you would like having a drivers license.
These kind of mistakes are happening on a regular basis with the republicans because they do not take the time to read and research the facts, They just know there investments in big business is at stake.
Democrats whose forefathers got us out of the great depression also could be a little more forthcoming of there agenda and explain themselves better. Both sides are in a rush, Something has to be done now but maybe we can come up with a temporary plan with a public option that can be revisited in the event that the private sector some how gets responsible and keeps to there promises. I cannot t ever see this happening but it is possible.
Things that must change to remove public option,
People must be at least as healthy as in other nations
people are covered even if they are not healthy and receiving the best of care.
Mental disorders are covered and diagnosed (mental health effects physical health and visa versa)
every body is covered including tourist (they cover us)
It might take a public plan to help private Healthcare because of peoples diminishing health do to over medicating and other issues.
Of course when things were going good we deregulated big business and now we may end up in the same shape as before if we do not find a way to bring big business under control again. Maybe public option can take the place of regulating Healthcare more heavily than the new plan demands.
Profit is good but when everybody feels they are worth more than everybody else and demands more money, Prices will go up the way they have been since probably the gold rush. But when people finally sees the worth of everyone else and supports one another then we will finally avoid such hardships as this nation has seen or be able to weather them much easier than as before.
If you are informed no one can lie to you
if you are uniformed you are a target to everyone.
Start a grassroots think tank and stay informed.
Say it will not work and it will not work..........

passing bills on reconciliation "is about as serious as it gets". And that's where the Dems ought to be going---with everything that Dems want in the bill.
