The Case for ACORN as a Criminal Enterprise

Sneemdream- if your hypothesis was even remotely correct, the defaults and foreclosures would center on minority-owned, sub-prime houses, right? Guess what, they're spread across the entire spectrum of races and incomes and include alt-A and more recently prime loans. No, the nexis of the problem was the shadow banking industry the Graham-Leach-Bliley spawned in overturning the Glass Steagall Act of 1933, the so-called banking act. When unqualified businesses started originating and securitizing mortgages, all hell broke loose. CRA was a very minor part of the problem and if you think the dummies at Fannie and Freddie concocted the sub-prime mess, I have a bridge to sell you in Alaska.

What a preposterous article. If you tried the same sting on conservative pols, you would probably learn that a significant minority would not only offer tax advice, they would prime the pump of the new enterprise if you get my drift. If this so-called journalistic team was legitimate, why have they refused to supply the entire tape? Are we looking at another Rose Marie Woods moment?

Whoever made the remark comparing bankers to Acorn thugs... There are at least SOME honest bankers who did not cave in to cries of "racism" if someone did not qualify for a loan.

Most bankers are honest...despite many opportunities to"cash in". You'd be amazed.

Unfortunately..when CRA opened the window for massive fraud, many bankers

& sub-prime lenders ( who are not bankers) saw opportunities to make lots of money by making fraudulent real estate loans... aided and abetted by the likes of Barney Frank, Maximr Waters,

Franklin Raines...and many other Acorn lovers.

Sorry but not surprised... that you don't understand.

Maxime& Barney failed the test too.

Most liberals don't.

You're not helping your argument by pointing out that you're a banker. We've seen a lot of bad apples in banking who have helped work the economy into a tailspin lately. I don't blame everyone at ACORN any more than I blame the vast majority of bankers who are doing an honest and ethical job.

If ACORN is a Criminal enterprise; and in light of exposed the dereliction of duty of Frank and Dodd in their oversight of Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac, a close examination of an HONEST, Federal Election Commission is in order.

In any sufficiently large organization you will find some individuals who are corrupt or incompetent, particularly if you hire them off the street for minimum wage with little or no training. I have seen no evidence of systematic corruption or incompetence in ACORN, although I will admit the possibility that such evidence may emerge.

ACORN seems to have replaced the inner-city welfare mom as the new Republican boogeyman.

The FBI are the people who investigate corrupt criminal organizations. Where are they? Muzzled by Eric Holder.

How in the name of all reason is this criminal enterprise allowed to "dodge" criminal prosecution? MY tax dollars have enabled them to metastasize like the cancer they are.

As a banker for 30 years, I have seen firsthand

Acorn's thug tactics via CRA (which believe it of not ,was the seed that grew into the disastrous real estate meltdown.)

Their on going criminal activities ...enabled by cowardly pols have gone on far too long

ENOUGH

Please keep enlightening the public of the Acorn cancer.

Since we have a worthless AG presently, what can honest resposible citizens do to ensure that all Acorn's records see the light of day in court??

Queen of dissembling,Bertha Lewis, needs to stop

her blathering and let the authorities in, How dare she think she can control all information.

Acorngate must not be allowed to be buried by the MSM...If there is a true journalist left in the US, man up!!
