Are you kidding me???? So, the message is come to the U.S. illegally, break the law, don't get citizenship.....We'll just make you a citizen automatically plus benefits. Obama wants them to be granted citizenship for their votes. Can he get away with this? Is there nothing that can stop this radical and absurd proposal??????

After spending one year watching and hoping that this President would get things moving in the right direction i.e., reduced unemployment, reducing the deficiet, working towards reducing the hate around the world that we are involved in and generally cleaning up the mess that the previous administration caused, it has become quite clear to me that all has been in vain. This president does not have the experience and backbone to roll up his sleeves and put this country back on track toward lowering the defeciet, bringing green energy on line, creating more jobs. An example of this is Ford motor company. They are in the process of building the Ford Fiesta in Mexico at a greatly reduced labor rate than would be paid here in the U.S. and expecting citizens here to purchase this vehicle. If the President had any sense of reality, he could have presented to Ford and the Union a workable plan to bring those production jobs to the this country and begin the process of rebuilding America's automobile industry, after all the business of America is business, and I can't think of a better place to start than at the production of clean burning, very efficient cars. I could go one and on, but the bottom line is that we as a country are screwed. Notice I did not pick on either major party because in my mind neither pne is worth the powder to blow them to hell.

My views have always sided with the democrats and I have always been a democrat voter. My dad and husband being military have always been republican. My children registered as Democrats. I have lived in several different countries and about 10 States
Unfortunately, that is all changing. We created a world where our government does not view themselves as Americans; but, as an elite group of people who has decided with what the kingdom must live with and what they should live with.
As a democrat it sickens me with what they are shoving down our throats. As, an American, it makes me despise all of them. Republican,democrat and independent alike.They are supposed to be working for the American people, not against.
I have hated protesters since the Vietnam War. We were stationed at Travis AFB, CA. All of the wounded could not be flown into Travis; so, some would land in San Francisco and then be bussed to Travis. There would be protesters blocking entrance to the base not knowing that there was wounded in the vans and busses. As,a result of that I have always thought that there are better ways to work around a problem.
But, in this instance, I cannot think of any other way to make them listen. They are moving at such a fast pace to get the Health Care Reform in place; so, that they can move on to the amnesty. This is not the democratic party I voted on. They have now lost mine and my childrens votes; but, they don't really care because they will have all the people that they are giving amnesty to that will vote for them.
I have my great-grandparents citizenship papers. They entered legally from the UK and I am very proud of them.
What our government should be saying is " Terrorist, illegals, criminals all are free to enter as we cannot secure our boarders and welcome to the United States where we took away the rights of the American people to give to you, my friends". Instead, of pretending they are voting for the American people.
I am sorry for seemingly being all over the place in my thoughts. But, I have the flu and running a 101.9 temperature. I was laying in bed venting in my head and decided to get up and see if there were any other angry democrats.

Legal citizens of our country from every race,and cultural back ground have already been confronted with the most blatant, overt lawlessness from both Democrats and Republicans Bush/Cheyney invading an entire country based on a lie, the banks mired in corruption and being rewarded for it. It is been made clear that criminal behavior in this country is rewarded, can it really be surprising that these same criminals would look at the illegal aliens demanding rights, and citizenship with a familiar smile and nod, the rich benefit from importing poverty (illegal aliens) and the illegal immigrants benefit from a better life in this country all at the cost of the law abiding middle class, and working class American. Eventually this country will have only extremely rich, and extremely poor just like the 3rd world countries these illegals fled from ,and where will we go?.

Dear President Obama;
What has happened to your personal values?
By allowing a Health Care package to pass that includes a cut to the Social Security Benefits and Medicare to the ones that depends on it for survival and medical care, you have betrayed the very back bone of America.
By allowing it to pass with a Mandate to force everyone to buy coverage from the greedy insurance companies you are giving in to a "dictatorship" controlled by them.
You are clearly willing to penalize the very people who are struggling to "JUST" survive, to enrich the powerful insurance and drug companies
By allowing it to pass without either a single payer or public option you will prove to the people of America that you did not tell us the truth.
As time passes I am seeing you as a very weak person, a person that will compromise your values for the approval of the Corporations and Conservatives.
I and millions of voters voted for you because we thought you would stand up for what you said in your speeches during your campaign, we voted for a change in Government policies, "Not a changed Barack Obama"
Not only are you compromising the elderly, disabled, poor and minimum wage earners of America, you are compromising the Democratic Party, I do not want to believe that you are aware of the number of people you are hurting by your Conservative decisions.
Please Mr. President !
Either keep your word to those that voted for what they believed you would stand for, or step aside, we had eight years of broken promised and deceit and we can't allow another Presidential term to proceed that is following the same path of destruction.

The answer is simple.
BILL THEIR GOVERNMENT FOR THEIR CARE.
I dont pay for your family's bills & you dont pay for mine.
What the hell is the matter with our government that they cant figure this out.
Our politicians are nothing but a bunch of touchy feely jackasses with NO DAMN COMMON SENSE FOR THE COUNTRY, but only care for their own political hides. If that means importing some illegal votes, then that's ok. Soon, if not already, we will be living in a country with no principals at all, where you will be told how to feel about having your home invaded or having to ignore some person of the same sex who wants to have sex with you, ALL IN THE NAME OF HUMAN RIGHTS & DIVERSITY. We've already high-lighted some crimes as "hate" crimes. A CRIME IS A CRIME FOR GOD'S SAKE. YOU DON'T NEED TO EMPHASIZE THAT IT'S A "HATE" CRIME, UNLESS YOU PLAN ON LEGISLATING HUMAN THOUGHT & EMOTION.
Quite frankly, I wouldn't give you a dime for the country when it gets to that point. Who wants to fight for a country that sanctions cheats sneaking into your own home? Unpatriotic, you say? Since when is it patriotic to fight for a bunch of thieves that steal your home & then tell you how you feel & how you should feel? I don't recall our forefathers fighting for that.

This is a big lie. Alot of illegals are in construction, landscaping, or in small businesses. they don't pay taxes and make alot of money. How do i know this? My parents own a convienent store that cashes their checks. Some gets $700 - $1000 a week. Also my parents have hired an illegal immigrant and she gets $340 a week for a 37 1/2 hrs a week which roughly comes to $9 an hour. the minumum wage here in Georgia is $7.50. All you people that feel sorry for the illegals need to wake up and be aware. Most of them probably make more then you and they don't have to pay for school, wic, foodstamps, healthcare.

"Comprehensive immigration reform" ie amnesty will not fix anything. Why? Because employers is search for cheaper labor will bring MORE illegal immigrants.
The legalised workers will get more expensive.

I understand that you are outraged by what u read and know so far about this topic. Do you really think that is easy for them to go back to their country or spend their money on luxuries? Do you really think they get paid enough to buy whatever they want? Granted i am only 18 years old and have worked with illegal immigrants before but completely disagree with what you have to say. It makes me sick that you would think of just getting rid of them like they are a pest. The only thing that makes me mad about illegal immigrants is that they don't pay taxes even though they can. I knew a person i worked with who paid taxes and was illegal. Those would be the first ones i would give amnesty to if i were able to do such a thing. But really, come out of your bubble and see expand your belief. U disgust me
