My ex husband is a Director of Operations with an NSA agency - and has been at the NSA for over 30 years, serving as an executive officer.
No background check. Not one. I was married to this guy for 8 years, part of the time, he was in Navy Security. They threw him out of Navy Security in 1970, caught him red handed breaching national security. Never made it past E3 - blew his entire Navy career - Navy intelligence - great position - real bad apple. He lied to me about his clearance and his activities for 8 years - then he asked me to lie again - this time to Defense investigators -
He wanted a job at the CIA - and he asked me to lie to the Defense investigators so he could get a cushy job in Washington DC - I threw him out
He disappeared, and he turned up inside the NSA - and he knew that if I ever found him, I would go to the Defense Dept. and report him. Not once in 30 years did any investigators ever find me or talk to me
And when I finally found him - his name was posted on the Internet - I started doing my own investigation - and when I realized that he lied his way past the background checks and had been avoiding me for 30 years - keeping defense investigators from talking to me
I went to the DoD and the FBI and I told them - and do you know what happened? Nothing. They told me to get lost. In fact, the Sec. of Defense told me personally to shove off - and leave them alone.
Right now the whole bunch of them are sitting over at the Judge Advocate's office at Fort Meade trying to figure out what to do about me - they never even read his Navy files - they let a guy back into national security that the Navy threw out
My ex husband had up close and personal contact with the KGB - he told me and he wanted me to lie about it - and now, I'm supposed to just go away and leave them alone

Passive non violence worked for Ghandi against the fairly civilized British of that era but it will not work to protect us from Islamic terrorists on a jihad.
To all critics I ask; what would your personal response be if you were in a room with a person that had information about the whereabouts of your kidnapped wife, or plans to kill your children?
I'd not only display the drill, I'd get the biggest bit I could find and use it if necessary. And it would be the right thing to do. If that makes me a torturer so be it.
Obama, with these actions, puts us at increased risk of further attacks.

It's tragic for our nation's security that our fine President's administration is going after the heroes in the CIA.
On the other hand, by making this greatest of mistakes it can possibly make, it's doing the greatest damage it can to itself, which will mean an even larger swing of the pendulum against the liberals in 2010 and 2012.
Throw all these anti-Patriots out!

Is there a limit to the humanism of the actual president of the United States?
The findings compiled by the CIA's inspector general in 2004 about the agency's detention and interrogation of terrorists is astonishing. Interrogators threatened terrorists with a gun shot in a nearby room, with a power drill and cigarette smoke. In one case a CIA contractor beat a detainee who subsequently died. In another case CIA threats to kill a suspect's children and other cruel interrogation tactics. Millions of Americans are shocked.
The criminal investigation launches by the Obama administration Monday into inhumane methods once secretly used against terror suspects should be sees as what it is: one of the most courageous and humane actions done by any head of states on that planet. If these actions are successful, Obama will have his place in history books with the greatest humanist who ever exists. What a bold unprecedented move!
Just think about it. North of his border, Canada, when face with similar actions by the RCMP against its own terrorists between 1970 and 1980, preferred creating a special force (CSIS) to let agents attacking separatist outside his own law. What Obama just did shows the real American spirit. Today, and once since a wile, many citizens of this world wish they were American.

If you don't know, stop trying to make trouble before you even know it's out there.
The press has been hovering about Washington asking questions about every detail of every minute of every day in the White House. The same questions are asked over and over. The subject matter rarely covers more than two topics at a time (they really ought to listen to BBC World News - that news group seems to realize there are several hundred countries out there and oceans and planets and plants and animals, etc).
The media is like a bunch of gossiping old women - chattering incessantly about one thing and ignoring many other truly important things.
Who is covering Obama's use of Blackwater - even after they have been implicated in many violent crimes, and promotion of a Christian crusade against muslims? That is for sure happening - no gossip needed there. Are you folks afraid to cover really tough topics?
This is not desparate housewives of wherever....leave the tabloid TV no-content reality TV baloney out in the street. Please spend your time on things we should know more about.
Is the media only good any more for gossip and idle chatter?
