What I see with the government backed health care program is a nightmare we won't be able to wake up from. People in Canada and England are coming here to get the treatment they can't wait for in their own country. Medicare and Medicade are bankrupt. Why would his be any different. If this becomes law we should vote all responsible out of office. God help our country, how did we come to this.

AMERICA’S NATIONAL HEALTHCARE EMERGENCY!

It’s official. America and the World are now in a GLOBAL PANDEMIC. A World EPIDEMIC with potential catastrophic consequences for ALL of the American people. The first PANDEMIC in 41 years. And WE THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES will have to face this PANDEMIC with the 37th worst quality of healthcare in the developed World.

STAND READY AMERICA TO SEIZE CONTROL OF YOUR NATIONAL HEALTHCARE SYSTEM.

We spend over twice as much of our GDP on healthcare as any other country in the World. And Individual American spend about ten times as much out of pocket on healthcare as any other people in the World. All because of GREED! And the PRIVATE FOR PROFIT healthcare system in America.

And while all this is going on, some members of congress seem mostly concern about how to protect the corporate PROFITS! of our GREED DRIVEN, PRIVATE FOR PROFIT NATIONAL DISGRACE. A PRIVATE FOR PROFIT DISGRACE that is in fact, totally valueless to the public health. And a detriment to national security, public safety, and the public health.

Progressive democrats the Tri-Caucus and others should stand firm in their demand for a robust government-run public option for all Americans, with all of the minimum requirements progressive democrats demanded. If congress can not pass a robust public option with at least 51 votes and all robust minimum requirements, congress should immediately move to scrap healthcare reform and request that President Obama declare a state of NATIONAL HEALTHCARE EMERGENCY! Seizing and replacing all PRIVATE FOR PROFIT health insurance plans with the immediate implementation of National Healthcare for all Americans under the provisions of HR676 (A Single-payer National Healthcare Plan For All).

Coverage can begin immediately through our current medicare system. With immediate expansion through recruitment of displaced workers from the canceled private sector insurance industry. Funding can also begin immediately by substitution of payroll deductions for private insurance plans with payroll deductions for the national healthcare plan. This is what the vast majority of the American people want. And this is what all objective experts unanimously agree would be the best, and most cost effective for the American people and our economy.

In Mexico on average people who received medical care for A-H1N1 (Swine Flu) with in 3 days survived. People who did not receive medical care until 7 days or more died. This has been the same results in the US. But 50 million Americans don’t even have any healthcare coverage. And at least 200 million of you with insurance could not get in to see your private insurance plans doctors in 2 or 3 days, even if your life depended on it. WHICH IT DOES!

If President Obama has to declare a NATIONAL STATE OF EMERGENCY to rescue the American people from our healthcare crisis, he will need all the sustained support you can give him. STICK WITH HIM! He’s doing a brilliant job.

THIS IS THE BIG ONE!

THE BATTLE OF GOOD Vs EVIL!

Join the fight.

Until Congress can fix Social Security, they are not qualified to redesign the health care system. Fix the root cause of the health care mess: clean up Medicare fraud, Medicaid payments to children of illegal residents, then ask me to fork over more tax dollars to cover the uninsured/underinsured. The current House Bill to provide health care to all Americans is neither a provider bill, nor focused on American citizens. Taxing the super-earners today so that Washington lawmakers can spend US tax dollars, while Democrat members of the US House have declined to participate in the healthcare system being designed is the utmost in hypocracy and demagoguery. I will work to vote them OUT of OFFICE in 2010, and support US Senators and US Representatives of either party who vote independent of political pork, in Texas and other states where the Democrats are ruining the American dream with socialist programs.

The problem is that we are in a depression right now. More people are going to lose their jobs as small businesses struggle to stay afloat to pay for this national medicaid plan. It will cost far more than they speculate and ultimately the government will resort to cutting and rationing health care-which is incidentally what they currently do in other countries. Why would anybody think of raising taxes now? We should be lowering taxes to businesses and people so they don't fire employees and start buying things. What good is health care, if you don't have a job?

Did you see that cool dude Obamma look like a fool at the Allstar game wearing his own version of "mom jean's" what a loser. With stuff like this to talk about who cares to talk about his no chance to pass health care joke.

Finally, a public option will force insurance companies to be competitive by providing quality coverage at lower rates to employers. The bill will not allow insurance companies the luxury denying benefits. I'd rather deal with the government than deal with a For Profit Insurance company CEO who's only concern is his multimillion dollar conpensation package, the shareholder's and of course, the net profit. ***Look at Why the repubs are against the health care plan, including a few dems. 97% of them are republicons.

Note what appears on page 58 of the House's health-reform bill:

‘‘(D) enable the real-time (or near real time) determination of an individual’s financial responsibility at the point of service and, to the extent possible, prior to service, including whether the individual is eligible for a specific service with a specific physician at a specific facility, which may include utilization of a machine-readable health plan beneficiary identification card;..."

Great job by Roff, who has clearly done his homework.

Jack Smith and Jack Smith types -do your homework and argue facts not liberal talking points. It will make for a much better and more specific dialogue that will benefit all, including those who take opposite sides on this issue.

I hope readers will indeed do their research on existing goverment systems such as Canada and the UK, and realize that they are just like a 14 year old boy's bedroom with the notable exception that you can't actually get in the door.

I invite you all to go to www.FacesofGovermentHealthcare.com and read real stories from real people for whom government care has caused real pain.

As someone with an elderly parent in Canada, let me assure you, its a nightmare.

National health care is a great idea for those 20% of the country who don't have any health care because it will be free to them. The vast majority os who have health care now can expect to pay more than we are paying now (maybe a lot more in the long run) to provide care to the minority that can't pay. I would'nt even mind paying a little extra to help those in need if it were'nt for the fact that about half of the 20% without current health care are illegal aliens and should not qualify to recieve any assistance at all. Obama's plan is to first provide free benefits for the illegal aliens and then grant them amnesty in hopes of ingreatly increasing his voter base.
