When is it going to end,$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, and more! We are supposed to be responsible adults and start saving when we can and he is a great leader! He makes me want to blow money, must be nice! He just gets to continue to blow our money and our kids and our grandchildren's money! Great job president!! If we still have a USA left when he's done, we might just disappear along with all our JOBS and MONEY!Is he for or against us americans, hmm that is the question???

The productivity of the American worker is the one thing that is keeping our standard of living. It is first ins the world and pays for our nicer houses, better food, best in the world health care and for all the government programs, our terrorist fighting, world protecting Army and our charity to the world. Energy - relatively cheap and available is the driver of our productivity. As our government gives this advantage away to the rest of the world with cap and trade, they are giving away our childrens standard of living, the world leadership and yes their precious programs. WHAT are they thinking?

This admin is such a farce. Our Children, Grand Children & Great Grand Children will be the ones to suffer. I hope Congress & Senate don't allow Obama to buy a bigger shovel.....the hole he has put this country in is far too deep as it is!!!!!! What does he do....oh....I know....create another stimulus......that will fix everything.....IMPEACH has wonderful appeal!!!! Obama needs to quit his day job!!!!!!

I never thought I'd ever see myself agree with Sen. Byrd, on anything! I'm very afraid of this Cap and Tax bill for our country. Wave bye bye to the jobs as they go overseas to China and India. How stupid can one President be? Well. . . I see that he's stupid like a FOX. Global Warming, my fanny. There's no such thing, you dopes, who follow Odumba. Tell me one thing that he's good for, only one! He LIES to suit his need to ruin the America that he obviously hates so much. He loves going over to other countries so much, I wish he'd go and STAY in one. Hello, New World Order, with Obama as the leader/Pres of the World! Get him out of here!

Alright, i am not opposed to greener energy, more enviromentaly freindly power plants ect ect i even like windmills! but getting people to switch is one thing, taxing a already struggling nation, is totaly another thing. Global warming? has anyone stoped to consider the fact that we have been in a global warming since the end of the last ice age? just food for thought.

And your right people are incredibly uninterested they would rather watch MJs memorial than research a bill that would potentialy cost them upwards of three thousand extra a year in energy bills! thats the latest figure being quoted on the radio in Billings MT right now.

I cant afford that and i concider myself a stable low debt middle class individual living with in my means!

We gotta stop this bill and come 2010 when seats are up for election in the senate we have to elect the right people in there!

i CAN'T STAND THIS ADMINMISTRATION. BUT WORST YET IS HOW EVRERYONE WHO IS AN OBAMA FAN, GO AOUND WIT THE OBAMA CAN DO NO WRONG ATTITUDE. ASK YOURSELF HOW MANY PEOPLE EVEN KNOW WHAT THIS BILL WOULD MEAN TO OUR OWN BILLS. EVEN OBAMA HIMSELF STATED ALL UTILITY BILLS WOULD SKYROCKET WHEN THE BILL PASSES.

EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT THE DEATH OF MICHAEL JACKSON, BUT FEW DO NOT SEE WHAT'S COMING SINCE THEY ARE MORE INTERESTED IN MICHAEL JACKSON THEN OUR ECONOMY. ASK AROUND ASK IF ANYONE KNOWS THIS

PASSED IN THE HOUSE AND WHAT MEANS TO THIER UTILITY BILLS.

THEY SAY YOU SHOULD NEVER TALK ABOUT POLITICS, BUT IF THE MAIN STREAM MEDIA DOES NOT BRING IT UP AND A STORY LIKE THIS IS BURIED ON PAGE 9 OF THE NEWSPAPER WHO WILL EDUCATE OUR FELLOW AMERICANS BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE. SOON IT WILL BE TOO LATE WITH A GOVERNMENT THAT HAS LOST TOUCH WITH THE REALITY OF HOW MUCH PEOPLE ARE STRUGGLING TO MAKE ENDS MEET. BEFORE LONG THERE WILL BE NO MIDDLE CLASS, ONLY RICH AND THE POVERTY. IF THE GOVERNMENT TRULY CARES ABOUT YOU AND I, THEY WOULD NOT BE DOING EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO INCREASE THE COST OF LIVING. YOU TAX THE RICH MORE AND MORE JOBS WILL BE LOST, MORE FORECLOSURES, MORE HOMELESS. WE NEED TO CHANGE THINGS IN AMERICA WHEN WE ARE DOING WELL NOT WHEN WERE ON THE VERGE OF BANKRUPTCY.

So, our government is trying to tax a natural gas, CO2. I've never see a bigger bunch of fools in my life. Plants breath in CO2 and breath out oxygen which we breath. I've read the science and if any thing it's been getting a little cooler the past decade. I think that sun spots have more to do with global cooling or warming than anything else!! Cape and Trade is a tax, a way for our government to get more money from us little folks. It's about time we get those fools out of Washington and get some people that know how to handle our hard earned tax dollars!!

John McClintcck of PA 5:03PM July 10, 2009

It is dishonest to focus on political machinations as though they determine the right and wrong of an issue. This is all about trying to build legislation that will do battle with an ongoing LIE. The lie is that we can continue to dump warming gases into our thin atmosphere while our scientists have overwhelmingly agreed (that's called a consensus) that we are now irreperably harming and altering the planet's ecosystem.

We have become increasingly irresponsible with our fossil burning technologies as we have become more knowledgeable about the bad effects of co2 and methane over the last forty years. It is time to change the industrial landscape and that is going to be difficult when there is so much blatant ignorance, negative opportunism, and greed on the side of our traditional fossil fuel polluters.

Bad journalism focuses on political and economic difficulties as though going back to being irresponsible would be better because it was easier. We Americans are not just about doing what is easy. This is going to be difficult but we are going to do it. We can't all make excuses for ourselves by pointing to the wrong doing of others or by saying that doing wrong would be easier and more fun.

Failure of this bill will be a blessing.

1. Its passage would have little impact on CO2 emissions, it would just make it more costly for those who must emit CO2.

2. Limiting CO2 emissions is folly. CO2 has little impact on climate CHANGE. It never has in Earth's climate history. It doesn't now.

It's time news organizations took a hard look at the real science of global climate and stopped propping up this enormous scam called "Anthropogenic Global Warming" ... it's a theory without any real world support and its based on propagating bad information about the role of CO2 in climate change.

When is Congress going to wake up and realize that there is no popular support for a job-killing, economy-busting non-energy scheme to make a few carbon credit brokers filthy rich?
