Gingrich Is Right on Pelosi: Her Spin on Torture Is "Vicious and Dishonest"

It is imperative that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi step down from her position. Her conduct and denials concerning the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) briefing on water boarding interrogation is the most alarming observations of conduct and apparent lack of integrated I have ever witnessed from and elected official.

After watching and listening to her disjointed and dysfunctional machination, incoherent diatribes of denial I have developed a grave concern regarding her integrity to say the least and her mental stability under pressure to say the most.

Speaker of the House Pelosi is third elected official in secession beyond the President and Vice President of the United States. I ask you to consider her actions, comments, and conduct in these present events and ask yourself, do you want this person in that position?

For the sake of national security and the growing international perception of our present administration staff with grossly unqualified politicians Speaker of the House Pelosi should be requested to step down and the next senior Congress person assumes the position of Speaker of the House.

I ask your deep and sincere consideration in this matter; set aside political party positions and do the right thing for all of the American people.

So you are upset that Pelosi might have known about the crimes of the Bush administration?

I guess we can expect your full support in prosecuting them all for crimes against humanity

The Republicans are falling back on the things they do best: innuendo and character assassination. Really, the ONLY things they are good at, being the "Party of No", they have no platform and must rely upon wrapping themselves in the flag and bloviating about the "unpatriotic" doings of the party now in power. Good Lord.

The fact is, it is the sinister Republican party, including Newt Gingrich, who are to blame for the current disastrous state of our economy and foreign affairs. The conservatives who were in power for the 12 years prior to the Obama Administration did everything they could to ruin our country, and were for the most part successful. I think many members of the Bush administration should be put behind bars, including Vice President Dick Cheney.

A retired senator from Florida, who kept detailed records of the CIA briefings he and Speaker Pelosi attended in 2002, said today that he concurs with her. He also said that the CIA, within the past week, claimed that they had briefed him him a total of 4 times in 2002, when in fact he was briefed only once. This has been confirmed by the CIA. Is it a big stretch to believe that the same Bush-era CIA that provided the false WMD information that was use to make the case for the invasion of Iraq also lied to our congressmen and women? Not at all.

Peter Roff, you are nothing but a small scatologist, a fop of the right-wing, and I expect your career will be short.

It is Gringrich's comments about Speaker Nancy Pelosi that are 'vicious and dishonest'. They are reprehensible. Why is he not as outraged about the people who ordered the prisoner abuse or speaking out as vehemently about Chaney and Bush? He hasn't said one negative word about Chaney, Bush, Rove, et al. Gringrich is truly disgusting.

The MSM is all over Sarah Palin anytime she mis-speaks or has an awkward moment; up until now the same has not been true about Ms. Pelosi. She has had numerous "brain cramp" moments that go by unmentioned - just watch a tape of her trying to explain the stimulus package. Yesterday however, if the reaction of the press at her news conference is any indicator, she may have broken through the teflon barrier. She was rambling, befuddled, and inconsistent; and the press present seemed to smell blood. We'll see where it goes from here.

Um, Chuck of NM, please learn to read. Gingrich isn't quoted as stating fact for the record, he was expressing his opinion on Pelosi's stance regarding waterboarding. And what exactly did he say that was a lie? That she was the ranking Dem on the House Intelligence Committee so she should have know what was going on or should have known to ask? As for lying - then are we to ever believe Biden since he himself was caught lying? The same goes for every politician out there. So if they lied then they are never to be trusted, right? And you cluck around thinking that the Democrat party is pure as the driven snow? Please.

The United States tortured under the Bush Administration.

The Republicans held the majority in Congress at this time.

Would you like me to make it easier for you Pete?

Bush = Torture

Republicans = Irrelevant

Pelosi = Scapegoat

Sounds like I'm talking to my kids.

I remember what it was like to watch people jumping to their death to avoid the flames in the towers. What kind of a person , leader, would lie about their agreement of what should be done at that time? To lie for political gain when the all clear is sounded, is Pelosi's job, stance, politics that important? What kind of shameless people of little character do we have representing us? Is this what we have come to?

Joe of NY of NY 5:47PM May 15, 2009

FIRST, WHY SHOULD ANYONE BELIEVE GINGRICH WHO WAS CENSORED BY CONGRESS FOR ETHICS VIOLATIONS OVER PAC MONIES?

SECOND, WHY SHOULD ANYONE BELIEVE THE CIA, WHO LIED FOR YEARS ABOUT ILLEGAL TORTURE PRISONS AND RENDITIONS, WHICH THEY STILL HAVE NOT FULLY DISCLOSED?

THIRD, WHY SHOULD ANYONE BELIEVE CHENEY WHO LIED HIS AZZZ OFF OVER WMDS AND AL QAEDA TIES TO IRAQ?

THE 'NEW' GOP IS BANKRUPT. PERIOD.

CHUCK of NM 5:37PM May 15, 2009
