The business plan of the US Auto company has been a failure for many years. they did not make cars Americans wanted to buy and their costs were too high compared to the foreign auto companies. Now the Government pushes through a restructuring, fires the senior executives and gives a major ownership to the unions, arguable the reason for the high costs in the past. If the unions will own a majority of the equity what interest do they have to reduce costs. Its the DNA of unions to increase costs of companies. How is this going to work.

The President is doing a good job. He inherited a mess; however, he is dedicated to preserving America's most important companies. Many conservatives argue relentlessly about big government. That's OK. The President and his supporters are going to save you from yourselves.

The White House had been the lead negotiator so Obama's making the announcement isn't a surprise. Obama's demeanor following the WH failing to make a deal was shall we say not very presidential. How his government panel punishes the hedge-fund managers will be telling.

The dimwitted Mr. Roff neglects to mention how close we've come to total systemic collapse and social unrest. Just the fact that we are not facing roving gangs with assault weapons could be considered a success. By the way genius boy Roff, I hope your job isn't dependent upon the success of US News and World.

We should be afraid of a president, and a government, who seeks to lead the private sector. Capitalism is what built this country over 200 years ago, and has allowed the United States to become the lone superpower on the planet. Comparitavely thriving for hundreds of years.

Now in a few short years, one man is doing everything he can to undo centuries of American labor and effort, and put control of private industry in his own hands.

I don't want the government running my life, my company, or the companies I work with. I'm not satisfied with reducing everything to the lowest common denominator, which is what socialism and communism push for. I prefer a world where people are rewarded for their hard work, not put back to work for the government. If that happens, I'll just quit my six-figure job and live off the democrat's free money.

That is, if I have a job to quit, after the government takes over private business.

Yea, Like the hands off approach has got us very far. This sounds like the same old Be scared of big goverment crap we keep being feed over and over. This is just corprations trying to scare the little guy from looking over there shoulders while they pick pocket us.

Go directly to COMMUNISM! If you think this statement is funny laugh while you can. My parents fled Germany in 1939 via the underground from Hamburg to Kobenhavn in Denmark and my dad told me watch for the signs apparent in our Government today!

If you own a printing press to print money, why do you need an IRS. To takeover companies and the laborers without a court. The treasury agent has no leader other than the President.

Please prove me wrong, or our children's future will be like those of Stalingrad

Obama's ego, if not his intellect, can handle it.
