The Birthers Are Back, Might Keep Obama Off Arizona Ballot
Tweet Share on Facebook May 18, 2012 CommentThe birthers are back, baby. Oh you might have thought that President Obama's producing his long form birth certificate last spring might have been the proverbial stake through the heart of birtherism (the belief that the president is ineligible for his office because he was not born in the United States of America), but staking only kills vampires, and the birthers are more aptly compared to zombies: implacably shuffling forward no matter how many holes you shoot in (in this case) their theories.

Tweet Share on Facebook May 17, 2012 Comment (39)David Brooks of The New York Times says President Obama "should be getting crushed right now" in presidential election polls. Obama Campaign Tries Donor Intimidation Against GOP Funders
Tweet Share on Facebook May 17, 2012 Comment (14)Does President Barack Obama have an enemies list? If he does it wouldn't be the first time a president felt compelled to call out his political opponents, by name, in front of the American people. The Right's Peculiar Obsession With Jeremiah Wright
Tweet Share on Facebook May 17, 2012 Comment (24)It's often said that generals have an unfortunate tendency to fight the last war. Equal Rights for Gay Americans Are Inevitable
Tweet Share on Facebook May 17, 2012 Comment (21)Thursday is big day that celebrates the eternal American quest for equality. Board of Education, declaring that racial segregation was a violation of the equal protection clause in the 14th Amendment of the Constitution. Today is also the anniversary of the day in 2004 when the first gay couple in the United States was legally married due to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Council's ruling that the state could not discriminate against gay residents.

These words could not be truer about Speaker John Boehner's bold move to go on the offense and offer to address the debt ceiling increase now instead of waiting until around the election.

Is Mitt Romney Really Beating President Obama Among Women?
Tweet Share on Facebook May 16, 2012 Comment (12)There's an old song called "Spinning Wheel" from back in the day and one of the lines is "what goes up, must come down." That is so true if you look at the polls during this residential election. They seem to change hourly and many of them completely contradict one another.
