Another Example of the Liberal Media's Double Standards
Tweet Share on Facebook August 31, 2011 Comment (16)If there were two constants from the 2004 and 2008 presidential election talking points of the left, they may have been that questioning the religion or patriotism of candidates, or at least Democratic candidates, was off-limits. Obama's Right: On the Anniversary of 9-11, Volunteer
Tweet Share on Facebook August 31, 2011 Comment (4)Traveling abroad, and especially living abroad, provides one with a unique outsider perspective on one's own country. With some time away from the States, we can get a more objective sense of foreigners' impression of Americans. The worst stereotypes are overstated but not entirely without merit: that we are all morbidly obese (and unsophisticated eaters to boot), arrogant, money-obsessed, addicted to juvenile-themed culture and dominated by the view that the United States should tell everyone else how to live.

Jobs Plan is Obama's Best Hope for Re-Election
Tweet Share on Facebook August 31, 2011 Comment (8)Americans want to hear that four letter word…JOBS.
I just came back from vacation. I was lucky enough, due to an airline's inept scheduling and my brother working for a major hotel chain, to go to Italy completely gratis. Tweet Share on Facebook August 30, 2011 Comment (44)Self-reflection is not something we have come to expect in elected officials, particularly those who have left office fairly recently. But could former Vice President Dick Cheney have not even made the slightest effort to convince people he didn't deserve the "Darth Vader" moniker assigned by his foes?

Healthcare Mandate Could Have Turned Off Democrats
Tweet Share on Facebook August 29, 2011 Comment (9)It's become commonplace for supporters of the Affordable Care Act's individual mandate to point out, not inaccurately, that the idea has moderate Republican roots.

Dick Cheney's Memoir the Saddest Story of Our Time
Tweet Share on Facebook August 29, 2011 Comment (34)Dick Cheney should have a hurricane named after him, since he's done much more lasting damage to the country than the fury of Irene. And yet he has the nerve to come out with a book while we're still picking up the pieces from his thunder, lightning, and rain.
