Abiotic Oil a Theory Worth Exploring

wishful thinking isn't going to give us new oil reserves, people. if abiotic oil is a reality, why is there only one data point to support it (Eugene Island)? there are millions of oil wells all over the earth, and there is only one that has replenished once? and so that means oil is abiotic? there are other reasons that well could have replenished, such as a mild earthquake rupturing an barrier in the rock to undiscovered (though still biotic) oil.

This whole theory is for kooks. The oil (or whats left of it after pumping) naturally rises as a result of influx of groundwater and hydraulic lift. there is no magic oil production in the core of Earth, and anyone who believes this lacks a basic understanding of geology and organic chemistry. Companies who are actually banking on the speculation with investors dollars should be shut down and the CEO's imprisoned. OIl is a fossil fuel that results from conversion of STORED SOLAR ENERGY over time, not a secret magic process under the Earth's crust that we cannot understand. This is bogus pseudoscience at it's worst.

this might be just a tad convenient -- why not directly tap the energy that converts base elements and compounds into hydrocarbons? why do we have to wait for the hydrocarbons to be produced, why not tap the energy that is doing the producing? sure was nice of something to produce hydrocarbons, and only hydrocarbons, and then siphon them up to where we can tap them. God must be an oil industry executive, huh? This theory takes the "Earth Energy" idea several steps further, and I'm sure the oil industry claims that "Earth Energy" is BS.
