Josh ;

So you, if you were attacked and had no opportunity to escape and therefore had to defend yourself to the point of killing the attacker, would rather be charged with murder because you did not flee?

Racial Demigods Jackson, Sharpton, Waters and Fredricka (Pink Cowboy Hat) Wilson...

obtain political power and money from serial race baiting.

You would think that even liberal progressives could figure that out.

Nancy you are nuts,

"ALEC's legislation sought to address a need for stronger protections of a person's right to defend themselves. They remain opposed to murder."

**They remain opposed to murders**

What a relief! What a strong stance! I hope you are patting yourself on the back.

While you and every other American is opposed to murder you are just not opposed to the laws that actively increase the likelihood of them happening. Congratulations.

"The peple spoke out because if they hadn't, this killer would never have been considered to be brought to justice"

I just love your conclusion.

With my limited involvement in Justice system, they first must gather evidence to build a case. Sometimes it takes TIME. OUTCRIES by "peple" does not effect a good legal system. Mob rule and hanging days are NO more.

Is JM of GA correct ? "Zimmerman is Hispanic" ???

Try following your own words sometime. Like " I am ashamed of those who try to justify bad behavior - and rationalize based on some cheap political and social "red-meat" excuses"...

I remember the __ fair __ treatment Sarah Palin & Fox news got after a sheriff spoke, his opinion, after shooting in NM. Many articles written on it here with 100's of comments.

Maybe Nancy IS "perfect impartial spokesperson on the actions of the politicial left". You showed no partiality in her witting. Mentioning "Koch Industries and GW Bush " does not prove your case.

buma helped his buddy Warren Buffet with his railroad and waiting to decide on pipeline. You see Buffet’s railroad get business shipping that oil. buma helps Soros with his oil interest in foreign Country. buma helped BP,after receiving large campaign contribution, by giving GREEN MONEY and jobs overseas to BP’s company. Not to mention waivers in Gulf that lead to large oil spill by BP.

You see Deetoo, I come up with more than just a name...

___

"Apparently the writer assumes". Deetoo reads into things WHAT she wants too... HOW LIBERAL OF YOU...

Zimmerman is Hispanic.

JM of GA 11:17PM April 02, 2012

Oh yes - a rep of Koch Industries and GW Bush is a perfect impartial spokesperson on the actions of the politicial left.

The peple spoke out because if they hadn't, this killer would never have been considered to be brought to justice.

Just as any Black person is put in jail or booked and their weapon confiscated for killing someone, this White person should be treated the same. Zimmerman had little if any injuries. The 911 tapes clearly showed a man hunting a teenager, following in a car while uttering epithets, leaving his vehicle to pursue on foot, ignoring instructions not to follow, having his weapon loaded and ready to fire, and the second tape clearly discusses a woman reporting as the aggressor chased to young man, then one hears the screams of the young man crying for help....then two shots.

This is not about being opportunistic - it is not about politics or ideology. It is about truth, not spin, equal treatment under the law, and the delay of justice which should have been swift - but was not. The people in Sanford who travelled there went at the request of the parents of the slain young man.

It is unpleasant, tragic, and a grim reminder of how folks want racial issues to be swept under the rug out of sight so the unpleasantness is spared those who don't want to hear it.

There are plenty of incidents where Black people hurt others - and their victims should have justice swiftly as well. This is about race - not because someone was vile and killed without reason - but because the system looked the other way and tried to ignore, then find an excuse that would cover for the shooter. It was systemic, it continues in some circles.

Apparently the writer assumes the shooting is the dead guy's fault - being Black and wearing a hoodie is obviously a crime in Sanford. As a White person myself - I applaud those who spoke up.... The shooter belongs in jail and then court to determine guilt using our legal system. I am ashamed of those who try to justify bad behavior - and rationalize based on some cheap political and social "red-meat" excuses.

People need to stop trying to right vs. left every topic, and get back to right vs. wrong a bit more, fair vs. unjust, honest vs. dishonest, spin vs. truth.
