Sadly most Americans believe in life liberty and the persuit of happiness but too afraid to stand up and fight the establishment in order to have it. The words of our forefathers mean nothing if we are not willing to fight for our God given rights. We dishonor ourselves and all the men that fought for this great country to be free if we don't fight to perserve our heritage.

"Quirky Ron Paul"? That means the founding fathers were quirky too since he/we supporters of Ron Paul believe the same things. It think it is high time to go back to quirkier times if you ask me. The road we have been following has led us to un-Constitutional government by decree and overseen by Czars with a debt burden that has no way out. What we need are more quirky people at the steering wheel of this nation. Quirks please apply asap.

American's Elect has Ron Paul as the top candidate for their candidacy, which will get him on ballots in all 50 states for the general election. Considering roughly 40% of the national electorate identify themselves as Independents, and Ron Paul is a big favorite amongst Independents, then he has a good chance of becoming a force this November, outside of the crooked GOP party. Paul supporters need to give up on his effort of taking the GOP nomination, and start promoting the American's Elect cause, if they want Paul to have a shot.

You can be "socialist" and support government control of the economy And lifestyle. Some of such are national socialist and some are international socialist, but the common feature is government say over everything.

Or "liberal" and be for only goverment control of the economy, but allow that people have a say in some of their daily living.

Or you can be "neo-conservative" and want the government to Only control how the people Live, but let the people handle some of their own money.

If none of these are appealing, you can be what America was founded for.. you can take the stand that human kind has has been endowed by the creator with the unalienable right of life, of liberty, and of the persuit of happiness. We - who hold such truths to be self evident - have been named classical liberals. Now days, the name "libertarian" is often used. Many Many traditional conservatives have held tight to the philosophy of freedom [too] since this Republic was started long ago.

Socialist, liberal, neo-conservative, or libertarian. Not hard to choose, not when the spirit of our ancestors are shining the light of guidence for us to see and strangthing our hearts with the courage to make things right.

America is a collection of individuals all sharing the common ideal that each is entitled to live by his or her own lights, both responsibly and peacefully. Come home to America, we of the Ron Paul movement have already opened the door. And there's no place like home.

A sublime silver lining yet reported anywhere: I am a very active grass roots Ron Paul volunteer in Lynchburg Virginia which actually vote 51% for Dr. Paul and 49% for Mitt. However in a newly created precinct on Liberty University's campus the vote was 60/40 fro Paul, exactly the opposite of the states 60/40 for Mitt. The sublime irony is this: Lynchburg is the home town of Carter Glass, who co authored and introduced in 1913 the Glass-Owen Act (The Federal Reserve Act)as the 6th district congressional democrat from Virginia. And sweetest of all :Liberty University owns his homestead (Montview estate). A sweet symbolic crack in the foundation of the FED. From symbol to substance we fight on!

I remember when I was in junior high school. We were voting for a student council as well as a class president. The kid running for president happened to be a close friend. He said "vote for me and ill make sure you have ice cream on Friday, homework once a week, and free pizza everyday." You better believe I voted for him. Fast forward to today. We grow up and realize that life is beyond free pizza and limited responsibility...or for some, is it?

The Democrat rhetoric and the Republican rhetoric may be different, but actually the two parties are the same.

Take a look at Mitt Romney and Barack Obama. They have a very similar political stances. Obama and Romney both support mandated healthcare. They both supported the bailouts. They both are OK with the NDAA legislation which takes away due process from American citizens. Both are talking about pre-emtive war with Iran.

People need to wake up and stop supporting candidates based on the party; Dems vs Repubs.

I will not vote for Romney or Obama because they are the same and I don't agree with either one of them.
