How Mitt Romney Can Make His Tax Returns a Winning Issue
Tweet Share on Facebook January 23, 2012 Comment (6)Everyone knows that former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney had a very bad Saturday night. Losing South Carolina's primary by 12 points should qualify as a profound wake-up call to his campaign. But, as former House Speaker Newt Gingrich's Palmetto State comeback clearly demonstrated, great challenges sometimes provide great opportunities. Romney, who stumbled over and has not yet recovered from his tax return brouhaha, should use this as a chance to embrace dramatic tax reform. Attacks on Romney and Bain Reflect Gingrich's Economic Ignorance
Tweet Share on Facebook January 19, 2012 Comment (5)In the convoluted world of politics, maybe it is a good thing that some Republican candidates are revealing their ignorance about free market economics by attacking former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney. With Texas Rep. Ron Paul keeping a firm grasp on libertarian-leaning small government advocates, we are looking at a potential trifurcation of the traditional conservative vote among former Sen. Rick Santorum, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Texas Gov. Rick Perry. On social policy, there really is not much daylight among those three gentlemen. Let's then put a yardstick against them on economic policy and see who is likely to do the most to turn the economy around.

Mitt Romney’s Marriage Can Help Him Connect with Voters
Tweet Share on Facebook January 3, 2012 Comment (12)In 2008, the over-the-top rhetoric from journalists concerning then-candidate Barack Obama was a source of frustration and even humor for former Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. John McCain supporters. Who can forget the famous a "thrill goes up my leg" reference by one journalist ? Of course, as President Obama quickly found out, the shelf life of gushing praise can be measured in weeks, days, or even hours after winning an election.
