The president is a fool. But those that watch him and think he is "cool" are bigger fools. So who wins? Not us. Who loses? The country does!

Phil Esteen of TX

a Liberal writing a blank comment void of any pertinent information. Just WISE CRACKS only worthy of repeating in a smoke filled bar just before passing out drunk. Then hauled away to jail or thrown out on their ear into the alley.

Bush from the beginning warned of economic WOES while Democrats like Barney Frank said THERE WAS NO PEOBLEM. BUSH’S tax cuts for rich:

"Bush Tax Cuts: President George W. Bush’s 2003 tax cuts generated a massive increase in federal tax revenue and were followed by 52 consecutive months of economic growth. From 2004 to 2007, federal tax revenue increased by $780 billion, the largest four-year increase in American history. Total federal revenue from 2003 to 2007".

Too bad RECESSION was started because of Bill Clinton’s housing plan and subsequent refusal by Democrats to pass banking change pushed for by Bush & McCain.

You see Phil Esteen of TX you need more than fluff in your comment to be taken seriously. A few FACTS help. OTHERWISE just a J O K E COMMENT...

The only jokes to EVER walk around the Oval Office were Baby Bush and Ronnie Raygun. And it took every bit of their intellectual capacity just to walk around without getting lost.

I'm not buying it. I've heard all the arguments that previous ventures into the entertainment world are those of candidates, not office holders (Nixon's "sock it to me", Carter's Playboy interview, Gerald Ford on SNL --no, wait, that was Chevy Chase, Clinton playing sax on Arsenio, and so on and so on). This argument leaves out three letters: J. F. K.

Kennedy was extremely funny in press conferences and interviews, he was celebrity-in-chief during his campaign and his presidency, and made no secret of his Hollywood connections, particularly through his brother-in-law, Peter Lawford. He was not univerally adored, but he was incredibly popular, and a breath of fresh air after the dour public persona of Ike and Dick. Clearly, likeability polls indicate that Americans like having a "cool" president, and to me, it's refreshing to have a clearly smart and pretty funny president after eight years of an anti-intellectual bubba.

I bet Mary Cate feels real dumb right about now.

The American people elected George W. Bush and the joke was on us....

Ah you Republicans just hate to see a great Democratic President in action. He will eat your corporate lunch!

What an arrogant load of bitter crap. Not that this is shocking coming from someone on the conservative side of things. It seems that even the non-politician Republicans follow the party line of doing nothing but carping and accusing, as opposed to trying to do anything positive for anyone other than themselves. The amusing part is that the more that the American people are realizing this, especially after 2010, the more strident the conservative wing becomes.
