If all loopholes, and I mean ALL loopholes were eliminated on federal taxes, we could have 2 flat tax rates:
10 % for those making under $125,000; and 25% on all income above $125k per year
Those 2 rates, implemented now with all loopholes eliminated, would give us a surplus close to the level it was when Clinton left office.
Imagine how well we'd do if economic growth ever returned.

newt's biggest problem is that the vast majority of voters know about his checkered past.and want no part of this old hypocrite.

barry is a bum.
Newt made a name for himself with Contract with America. Clinton fought it and Newt won. Passed last civil rights bill, he closed government twice to get balanced budget passed, made government smaller, reduced taxes and got better results than Clinton's tax hikes, shored up entitlements, and got support from Democrats. Established a heyday for America.
Newt accomplished much for the betterment of America.
And what has barry done as President ? Signed obamare that CBO says will bankrupt America. Such stringent EPA regulations that 1,00,000's would lose their jobs. Certainly raise cost on EVERYTHING. Perfect timing. Another Carter. Worse. President barry gave us AA rating to say the least. Add the recent FAST AND FURIONG, $$$ 1.5 billion alternative energy companies scam; the Gulf pollution thanks also to BP who gave largest share of their campaign contributions to barry, barry got most Wall Street contributions in 20 years.
What did Senator barry do that took him from Senate to WH. Got a made up job for his wife with a hospital. Position did not exist before or since but PAID well. That got Senator barry to TRY to give PORK to that hospital of a $$$ 1,000,000. Voted PRESENT on bills. PORK rate of nearly $$$ 1,000,000 per work day. Second only to Senator Clinton. Senator obama was able to vote FOR and not PRESENT for tax breaks to carbon fuels companies as Pres. Clinton wanted.
Newt sure is a legion.
Barry is a BUM.

Is that what Bill Clinton use to take credit for ? Balancing the budget. Bill never had a balanced budget before Newt. I have heard liberals brag Bill was last one to balance.
