Debt Crisis Shows Obama Lacks Presidential Skills

Running a country is serious business and I'm glad we hired as smart as we could get. Still its not Obama's fault that some of his opponents hat this country so much they are willing to blow up its economy for their political showboating.

Revenue is the problem obviously. Obama is right to ask the rich to pay something. Our tax collections are the lowest rates worldwide.

All the anti-growth teabaggers are idiotic flimflammers. Patrick T of NY is happy to kill our economy so teafascists can take over and loot the nation.

The teabaggers are liars. they are just lobbying for billionaires tax cuts and the corrupt tax loopholes. Its clear our biggest problem is all the tax loopholes that let billionaires and corps get along without paying any taxes at all.

All the lies about spending point to problems are paying for two trillions dollar wars and tax cuts for the rich and corporations that were never budgeted for.

I just paid $22,87 for an iPad2-64GB and my girlfriend loves her Panasonic Lumix GF 1 Camera that we got for $38,76 there arriving tomorrow by UPS. I will never pay such expensive retail prices in stores again. Especially when I also sold a 40 inch LED TV to my boss for $675 which only cost me $71,32 to buy. Here is the website we use to get it all from, MetaCent. com

In every decade since the 1950s, income and/or capital gains tax rates have, on the whole, been cut.

And in every decade since the 1950s, federal revenue growth has outpaced the combined rate of inflation and population growth.

And in every decade since the 1950s, federal SPENDING growth has outpaced federal revenue growth.

The problem is spending, not revenue. This is the obvious. All the Tea Party did was state the obvious. Obama had no choice but to accept it.

This was not an ideological debate. An ideological debate would have been "the money is there, and the question is whether, and if so how much, we should spend it on bigger government and redistribution."

We had that debate many times over the last several years, and although the "right" side appeared to win on logic, economics and - most of the time - in popular opinion, the "left" side got what it wanted - - revenue went up, and spending went up faster.

We didn't have that debate this time.

We didn't debate how much of the money should go to government.

We just ran out of money.

Obama should use his right of decree to establish again progressive taxes, as everywhere in the world!

So many government spending are already underwritten in contracts that saving trillions is impossible!

Democrats have a president who's Not a leader; and a Vice President who incites hatred and fear with his verbal attacks, calling people terrorists.

Democrats are bad news all the way around.

Note Putin's view of the USA!

..... And the USA rushes to disarm! Strategic planning at its worse, or do we simply not know what we are doing??

Yet -- who does the GE have trying to mediate the end to Obama's NON WAR in Libya??

RUSSIA!

I agree that the middle class is being systematically leveled. What will remain for America is a two class system--the working poor and the very rich. So what's new? The growth of the middle class is relatively a recent and short lived historical reality. Think about what kind of world our children and grandchildren will live in given the plutocrats and their puppets in the White House and Congress.

Whether you like his politics or not, President Obama has demonstrated time and again that he lacks leadership skills. His "leading from behind" is not leading at all. And he is far from the post-partisan president he promised to be. We needed a leader to bring together red and blue America, but largely due to his policies and approach, we've never been more divided.

Obama has done an amazing job with these negotiations, consider that one half of congress refused to negotiate. Not only has he had to fight a House full of Tea Party republicans who were hellbent on shutting down the government to force through a Balanced Budget Amendment. But, he has had to wrestle his own party into accepting some bad tasting medicine that no Democrat likes. Obama saw there was no hope for increased taxes, (that were desperately needed) so he let it go. He forced his party to let it go. Boehner has not been able to perform the same miracles. He has been repeatedly denounced by his own party, to the point where he abandoned good faith negotiations with the President to satisfy them. Obama played the game the way the game had to be played. He stayed out of initial negotiations, which were destined to fail from the beginning. He knew it, Biden knew it and Boehner knew it. But, the structure for the ultimate compromise was laid there. I believe Obama's plan was ALWAYS to stay in reserve, ride in at the last moment if needed and force some sort of compromise. Now, we better all pray that the Tea Party fanatics don't decide they'd rather see us all burn rather than compromise.

Let's see, a President that lacks Presidential skills. Oh woe is me! Well, everyone with a half of a brain fairly screamed that this guy had no experience and was not qualified to be President. But, no, all the socialists/racial apologists said he was highly qualified! After all, he was a "community organizer". Well, you got what you voted for. And mercifully so, for the rest of the country. Because if this guy was indeed qualified, we'd be in even more trouble. It turns out, he's the best thing that ever happened to this country. True, the overseas situation ranges from somewhere between stagnant to dangerous, but he has served as a vivid example of why we must return to sanity. And hopefully, we are. This round of the socialist push is looking to be over for 20 - 30 years.

As for the President that lacks Presidential skills, after Mr. Boehner finishes having him for lunch, he can go back to ACORN (or whatever that fraudulent fraternity now calls itself).
