Plouffe serves the Arab and Iranian hating Israel Lobby mafia; his Obama puppet shows are propaganda to make them perish, not thrive under democracy and capitalism.

It certainly does feel to me that in pursuit of "Democratic Capitalism" the most likely outcome is fractured plutocracy, rather than the envisaged egalitarian Utopia.

I would also say that it is unfair, even naive to suggest "Tyranny, oppression and poverty are all in great supply". The new generation of enterprise that Shroeder mentions have not arrived over night. They happy to grow and diversify under the regimes that have existed up until now. The boundaries of growth have not been dictated by oppressive tyranny, more by global capitalism and the weakened state of the global economy. We need not look far from the Middle East to see upheaval and civil unrest caused by economic failure, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece, to name but a few. In other European countries the populous has been able to vent it's spleen through a change of elected government as in the UK, or indeed not forming a government at all as in Belgium.

before democracy. Unfortunately, Islam isn't big on rights or freedoms - so what will eventually evolve is another hate filled bunch of bearded holy men and yet another tyranny of the majority under Sharia Law.

Not much light on that horizon.

"The great neoconservative and Catholic theologian Michael Novak"???????? Great?????

Neo-cons justify pre-emptive wars against people who "might" have weapons, talk long and hard justifying torture, they place the priorities of Israel over those of this country, and they strongly support a narrow clique and AIPAC getting very wealthy while herding the pubic around using fear.

The neo-cons said they supported democracy - until Hamas was democratically elected in Gaza, and until they were democratically elected in Lebanon. Suddenly they were less about democracy and more about authoritarian controls. They supported kings and strongmen as long as they left Israel alone - even if the people in those nations had few rights.

The neo-cons are hypocrites in public - but very consistent privately. They do NOT have protecting the American lifestyle at heart.

Well, when democracy doesn't get you the absolute control you demand, then it's off to using "capitalism" as our great goal now....The brutal kind of capitalism that puts the extremely wealthy in total control, and has the rest of the public working with no rights or protections.

The Right used to be Eisenhower - who whole-heartedly supported organized labor and warned us about special interests directing the government. Now the Right IS those special interests buying the government. Eisenhower understood that capitalism is a great system, but the nation needs a conscience and efficiencies that come from sharing reources. He built the interstate highway system using that combination of concepts.

Mary Kate is trying to turn us to the "light" of neo-con contolling while brutally not caring for the weaker in our society. Her logic does not work, and her neo-con "mentors" are cynical and care nothing for you and me.
