A confusing blog from your keyboard as you speak of "Liberal Bigotry" ... then from your first paragraph, you write, "...the Democrats’ panic over the looming fall elections and their strategy of demonizing Republican candidates as a way to hold on to power."

I sincerely do not believe the Republicans initiated the "liberal bigotry" thing, but the liberal Dems have, literally, smacked every Republican cheek in the country with their "bigotry"!

Sure seems to me the Dems have dug a massive hole for themselves and are finding there is no way to climb out ... so they resort to name-calling!
