We'd be in a real depression now with double the unemployment rate without the stimulus. Most economists, even the conservative ones like Greg Mankiw, agree. And most of you aren't economists. In fact, most of you can barely read and write coherently from what I can tell from all of the stupid comments I read here daily.

It is not. Though one would certainly think so now under barry.

I reluctantly accept the premise when author says “You can argue that this economic crisis began under the Bush administration, but this non-recovery belongs completely to the Obama administration.”

“No one is even suggesting anyone could buy Waters or Rangels votes.”
They have suggested other Congressional ethic issues that can lead to harsh penalties if found guilty.
Certainly tax issues were not followed by Rangel. Using ones office for personal gain is a problem if proven. Using your government official letterhead for fund raising for namesake school insinuates many bad possibilities. In case of Waters was possibility of saving her family fortune. All this and more being allegation for now.
Cold Cash Jefferson is serving 13 year sentence, was found with $90,000 of ill gotten cash in his freezer needs to have similar Congress members join him.
Put all guily behind bars as far as I am concern.

I assume justice was served according to guilt proven. Regardless of party affiliation. Criminals have no party affiliation. Just GREED.
Bob of TX answered Tom Delay question best. Fred are you one of those people who just hear the charge and assume true if it fixs nicely within your politics ?
I heard Bush used illegal wire tapes. Court have ruled legal (obama has expanded wire tapes even before Court ruling). Same for firing Attorney Generals. Same for Gitmo. Karl Rowe was investigated and threatened with prosecution. No evidence to prosecute.
Fred I won’t get into your “cheap shots” against GOP. I’ve said enough in this comment.

Now Fred to the economic issue.
The Feds and Congress are supporting Wall Street. $ Trillions of private and Cooperate $$$’s are waiting & watching on the side lines.
America has the second highest cooperation tax within the developed Countries. Name nearly any of barry’s agenda and it cost business money. Raising cost of their products. Which is why Wal Mart is full of foreign products for sale. Sam Walton wanted to sell American goods. Sam is long gone. So are our jobs.
Not conducive atmosphere for hiring, expanding, or creating new businesses here in America. Don't even mention Green.
Barry applied a tourniquet to stop the flow of blood. Instead of fixing problem he applies new bandage to bleeding spots. Such as stimulus plan. Tourniquet must be removed soon or amputation ensues.

Over a year and a half and a trillion dollars later , his plans have not helped one bit , if anything things are looking to get worse . Things will NOT get better until some incentives for businesses and people to spend happen .
I see we have another usefull idiot out there , this one from Va. , to go along with the one from Ill. The sooner these people pull their heads out of where the sun doesn't shine the better .

Tom Delay is not in jail because there has never been a trial. There hasn't been a trial because some of the charges against him were thrown out and the evidence for the other charges is pretty weak. The DA in Austin TX who pushed through the indictment against Delay has been vored out of office. That DA also tried to prosecute Senator Hutchison from TX several years back. The real question is why the DA is not in jail for abusing the powers of his office. Poititcs as usual.

Fred, get your facts straight before you spew your vile BS. You want prison for the criminal negligence, I agree. Lets put all Democrats in prison who thought that giving everyone a loan to buy a house, that they had no intention of paying for, or were too stupid to read the loan agreement, was a good idea. This is the reason the economy is in the shape it is in. The Mess you talk about, was created by Democrats, but once again will be cleaned up by Hard working Republicans. Come November when we take back the House and Senate the restoration of our country will begin. Next stop, getting rid of the ex community organ grinder that is occupying the White House.

Corporate welfare and entitlements for the Wealthy are the biggest problems in America. Spare us the headlines about some petty house ethical violations, while we have not yet seen some serious jail time for the crooked bankers who bankrupted this country. No one is even suggesting anyone could buy Waters or Rangels votes, but we have a whole fleet of Republicans who regularly sell out to the highest bidders. How come Tom Delay in not in prison? There is a world of difference between ethical violations, (Waters and Rangels infractions) and criminal misconduct. Some should go as far to say that Republican mismanagement of the economy has been criminal in its negligence, not to mention all the collusion within the GOP to rip off the country blind.
The entrenched entitlement mentality is the entrenched money in the professional lobbyist class in the process of buying out politicians and the lobbyist who try to pass themselves off as journalists.
The deeper the mess Republicans can create, the harder it is for Obama to try to dig us out of it and they worse they can blame him - 2010 Republican Platform. Sorry Mary kate - its just a cheap shot.
