Obama seems to busy playing golf and catering to his progressive buddies. Since he was late in Louisiana ,he should let BP fix their mess and not take credit for it when it is over. Although hanging Biden over the bow of a ship while his big mouth is wide open might help.

Everyone has an opinion, but none of them knows much about drilling a mile down. Yet - they are running around like chicken little, thinking that yelling and consternating will improve things. Think again.
This mess was caused by the "Drill Baby Drill" crowd - highlighted at the GOP convention in 2008. "Red State" support for endless drilling, no matter what happens. Add to this a healthy dose of "self-regulation" of the oil industry, and you end up with this.
It will take years to get rid of the oil, if that is possible at all. People need to get out on the beaches and in the marshes and do the hard work - carefully cleaning the marshes and wildlife they can find.
People need to quit trying to politicize this tragedy, focus on the cleanup, then make sure it never happens again. Obama was right to freeze drilling for now, and we should never permit deep water drilling like this again until they have certain methds of stopping gushers and oil spill remediation. If that means we have to use less fuel - then so be it.
All the chemicals and waste and whatever our cities and farms dump into the Mississippi and from there into the Gulf has already removed anilmal life in huge areas of the Gulf. Let's not just focus on one cleanup, one bad guy, one corporation, one politician.
Let's look at what we do, its consequences, and realize that is up to us ALL to reduce behaviors thta allow this to happen. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. What you consume, what you discard, how you travel, etc.
