Why the White House Media is Fed Up with Obama

The media gets what they pushed for............
Breaking News! (No pun intended)
Minutes prior to an unscheduled news conference at the White House, president Obama as he strides to the podium, flatulates audibly.
After a brief silence and tumultuous applause by the gathered reporters, the news conference proceeded with the usual soaring rhetoric, the occasional pre scripted softball question, and ended with the reporters genuflecting before being dismissed.
Immediately afterwards there was a great hub of excited reporters outside, and the following could be easily overheard:
“The sound was magnificent! I thought I was at the symphony”
“This could be the start of a new form of communication! Perhaps a new global language”
“In my entire adult life, I’ve never been prouder of my country”
“I’ll tell you, if that doesn’t win over the hearts and minds of all, nothing will”
“I think I feel something running down my leg”
“I’m torn as to which was more grand, the sound or the odor that slowly permeated the room. I’m just glad I was there, I now have something to share with my grandchildren.”
“I’ve not smelled anything like that since my childhood when we lived across from a bakery!”
“I’m speechless, and I feel spent….Anybody have a cigarette?”
Amidst this obvious joyous experience, and testimony, a lone voice from the outskirts of the crowd belonging to an obvious fresh out of college face said,
“What’s wrong with you people? All he did was fart in public, and that’s disgusting”
After a momentary silence, one reporter in the crowd shouted,
“Quick get his name! I’ll call my editor and start a background check”
This of course started a deluge as follows:
“How dare he, who does he think he is?”
“We should call Janet Napolitano; he may be one of those dangerous extremists”
“I’ll go to his hometown, and find someone that doesn’t like him. We can do a two hour special report”
“I didn’t realize people like him existed”
“The humanity!”

The news media people are beginning to find out just what
Obama and his staff are all about. The media conducted an
almost love affair with Obama all during his run for office
and have done so pretty much since. Now --- they are
realizing that he is not exactly what they thought he was.

Where has anyone been?
Ain't seen no real news in years and lots of disinformation ever where else too...
Facts are manipulate to serve an agenda.
Needs ta wash our flag, gots politics an printers ink on it...
All the worlds a stage, and according to Jesse Ventura all politics are staged too...
Reason 'the news' ain't doing so well is that too many people know it for what it is and isn't.
Were I one of those reporters who was read the riot act, maybe those in power would like that on the evening news...hmmm?
Maybe the White House should call Glen Beck on his red phone.
Only of course if 'they' want to use real time shock power.
Then too, none of 'them' want anyone to know what is really going on...
Imagine that.

What are you talking about? Bush had the reporters he allowed in handpicked, banning reporters that asked actual questions during news conferences. You must not remember the "with us or against us" campaign or the "any negativity was unpatriotic" diatribes, etc etc.
If the current administration chooses not to spend its time with Fox, as the majority of their big talking heads bash them over absurditues who can blame them, they can get their news from trusted sources like AP etc.

The press was a lap dog during the campaign for Obama.
Even now,listen to ABC, NBC and CBS and someways, CNN, and they are still lap dogs, but maybe not as bad. Tell us the truth and don't apologize for Obama and his minons.

There are those in the media who actually get the news, but the mainstream media either will ignore, sanitize or filter it.
Others are stooges and do their jobs or they lose it.
Basically journalists fall in this classification.
D.O.P.E. Docile, Obedient, Partial and Effete.
John Swinton was correct when he stated the following:
There is no such thing, at this date of the world's history, in America, as an independent press. You know it and I know it.
There is not one of you who dares to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid weekly for keeping my honest opinion out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for similar things, and any of you who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job. If I allowed my honest opinions to appear in one issue of my paper, before twenty-four hours my occupation would be gone.
The business of the journalists is to destroy the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. You know it and I know it, and what folly is this toasting an independent press?
We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks, they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes.

People are never going to understand why after one & one half years the main (lame) stream press are beginning to cry foul. God are they stupid or what? Everyone else knew what was going on but them. Fox did the story's as it was, the rest did it the way Obama told them to print the story. They all look like a group of whipped pups.
Don't they know if they say anything about Obama or his band of merry thieves they will be "CALLED OUT" by the White House & they will be made to pay for their transgressions.
The idiot main (lame) stream media saw what the White House did to Fox and they did or said nothing, so now it is their time for their newspapers & TV to be "CALLED OUT" also.
Thank goodness at least now they are waking up, but it may be to late to rescue the USA.

Should the column be anywhere close to true, it would reflect that the White house is supposed to genuflect to the press before the current Admin. gets any respect, They never questioned the previous Admin. adequatly especially regarding Iraq.

Thanks Mary Kate. I just read the first of two articles of yours that I noticed just today....Don't know how I missed them (or you) before....Sorry!
It sounds to me that God might be in the process of resurrecting "The Fourth Estate" from the dead (Finally). This is the first "Hopeful" thing I've heard/ read in months, and (if it continues/ grows) it could result in a beneficial "Change" away from the devisive and destructive direction we've been going in for the last 1+ years. Of course, that assumes that much of the press can put aside their own ideological thoughts, admit they might have been/ are being used, & go back to doing their job the way they were supposed to be doing it.

The White House media have a lot in common with Dr. Frankenstein -- after helping to create a political monster by letting their emotions overwhelm their responsibilities, they're amazed when the same hulking beast suddenly turns on them.
Maybe if they'd bothered to do a few simple background checks on Obama, and spent less time genuflecting on the altar of diversity and political correctness, they wouldn't be the last people in America to understand what sort of radical ideologue now occupies the Oval Office.
They could still make partial amends by doing some honest reporting on the Obama administration, but they seem more bewildered than resolute. Pray tell, when did investigative reporting and objective journalism devolve into political cheerleading and "we'll tell you what to think."
