Media Bias Exposed: MSM Quiet as Obama Plays More Golf Than Bush

The issue is not that Obama golfs. The issue is how the media responds to it.

They attacked Bush for golfing, they defend Obama for golfing!

When someone points out how often Obama golfs the media responds by telling "Obama needs to relax". Odd, they did not say "Bush needs to relax". Instead they attacked Bush.

The issue is not how much Obama golfs, the issue is the baised media and how it attacks one person and then defends another, for doing the exact same thing!

But why limit it golfing? Remeber Bush stealing our civil rights and privacy with the evil patriot act; he was the devil on earth for doing that, anyone recall?

But didn't Obama just sign a re-authorization of this same Patriot Act? So surely Obama is the devil on earth also, stealing our civil rights and privacy?

Try to find any media outlet assaulting Obama for siging the patriot act, the way they attacked Bush for the same thing!

That is a media bias!

Obama golf outings since the start of his Presidency = 39

John Boehner golf outings this year = 100

Who's counting? Faux News

What is laughable is the lefts defense of Obama playing golf by saying that he's spent more time at the White House than Bush. I guess being at the White House means you're always doing something "Presidential"!

Also laughable is the "Blame Game" that they're still playing. "It's all Bush's fault!". I was not a huge fan of Bush's, but to blame everything on him is very short sighted. Much of what's going on economically can be traced back to Clinton as well, but I don't see Obama, Reid, Pelosi or their media playing that card.

So far the only thing Obama has accomplished is guaranteeing that our children and the children of our children will be in massive debt.

The fact is that the media has catered to Obama from the beginning. The fact that she's angered some of you with her observation means she has struck a nerve. If this article has struck a nerve with some of you, how are you all going to react in November?

I can't wait to see that one!

Mr. Obama may play more golf than lil bush and the Dick cheney, but lil bush was at the ranch in Crawford far more than he was at the white house.

So the msm, has nothing to do with this. In actuality lil bush was cutting wood and doing all the stuff he could for his family, while our families suffered, he went home to play cowboy.

Just like Leon Maxsell's selective memory, the main stream media is an organization of hypocrites. About the only thing you can count on with a hypocrite is that they will have a short term memory loss as they try to rewrite history.

One good thing about youtube..... you can see them dumb dems pushing for war with IRAQ who voted against aggression after they voted for it?????

Granted my memory sometimes is selective, but I just don't remember all of the press anger that Mary Kate alleges re/Bush golfing. I do remember quite a bit about his elective war in Iraq for which we are now beginning to pay, which enabled such easy recruiting of al quaida operatives.

Gee, ya must have been bored. I guess this is what the Paliban mean when they say lame stream media.

Bush did mountian bike and use a treadmill. Obama plays basketball often.

The issue I see is not that they do this, but the media response. Obama does it and the media is fine with it, Bush did it and the media attacked him for it (the golfing).

Bush was attacked in the press for golfing, because we were told "there are two wars going on". Anyone notice that there are still two wars going on? So why doesn't the press attack Obama for golfing in the same way and for the same reason as they did Bush.

The reason is simple; the press likes Obama and they did not like Bush.

The media will compare Bush's vacations to Obama's vacations. But it seems to me there is a huge difference between vacationing in your own house (Bush) and vacationing in a $4000 a day resort in Hawaii (Obama). Which of those two types of vacations do you think the average American is taking?

The issue really is that the press approves of Obama and they disapproved of Bush and it shows in their reporting. The media has decided that anything Obama does is fine; they had also decided that anything Bush did was wrong.

Journalism is dead. Or it is at best partisan.

Heather of MA 4:29AM April 23, 2010

It's unfair to compare Obama's 32 golf outings over 1.25 yrs. with the presumably similar number of Bush's golf outings over 8 yrs. One can't honestly count the 5 of Bush's 8 years (after Aug. 2003) during which Bush swore off golf. So I presume Mary Kate meant to say that Obama is playing golf at about twice the rate of Bush, with less than half the press complaints as Bush about how the President might be shirking work. But didn't Bush also spend lots of time with forms of exercise (bike riding, working out--all good things, probably as time consuming as had Bush played twice as much golf) in addition to golf, didn't Bush spend much less time at the White House than Obama? In sum, is't it as plain as day that Bush shirked work more than Obama?
