Conservative Thinkers Try to Team Up With Tea Party Movement

Are you referring to all those Democrats caused problems. Like Bill Clinton and Barney Frank help create.? You must be.

Tea bagers. Have you stuff it up your mouth yet ?

Tea party was created because of obama. Have Newt revolution ideas. Certainly not Democreats except for the conservatives in that party.

“Add President Clinton to the long list of people who deserve a share of the blame for the housing bubble and bust. A recently re-exposed document shows that his administration went to ridiculous lengths to increase the national homeownership rate. It promoted paper-thin downpayments and pushed for ways to get lenders to give mortgage loans to first-time buyers with shaky financing and incomes. It’s clear now that the erosion of lending standards pushed prices up by increasing demand, and later led to waves of defaults by people who never should have bought a home in the first place.”

“For many years the President(Bush) and his Administration have not only warned of the systemic consequences of financial turmoil at a housing government-sponsored enterprise (GSE) but also put forward thoughtful plans to reduce the risk that either Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac would encounter such difficulties. President Bush publicly called for GSE reform 17 times in 2008 alone before Congress acted.”

“Unfortunately, these warnings went unheeded, as the President’s repeated attempts to reform the supervision of these entities were thwarted by the legislative maneuvering of those who emphatically denied there were problems.”

Your memory is bad to blame Republicans.

You mean that applies to a "statement of priciple" like where the little people are called upon (again) to sacrifice their jobs, homes, and health care to bail out the big people?

Sounds like a Freudian slip to me.

As for the big old Republicans courting the tea baggers, well, yeah. They are always looking for gullible dolts wherever they can be found.

What we don't need is more Republican borrow-and-spending that bankrupted America. With clowns like Norquist who never misses lobbying for industry loopholes to not support this country, or lobbying for Arabs against this country. We all can do without Norquist and his best buddy Abramoff, a couple psuedo-patriotic republicans willing to swindle the country at any chance.

Are these clever clones just more of the same-old Republicans plugging the same crude that squandered us into this recession? More of the same Republican agenda that scraped any regulations that would have prevented the Banks and their Madoff-style ponzi schemes.

Nobody is buying the suggestion that Republicans are fiscally conservative. The myth has been busted.

Meant Independent not liberal in pervious comment, last sentance.

I listened to obama's speech today, I felt sorry for the guy. How badly he wants acceptance. He cured our economics woes.

Liberals cling to any babble to exhorts their Liberal leader. Even when obama claims his success in Iraq. Blaming Bush is fading, taking credit for Bush's accomplishment taking over.

One thing obama has done is wake a sleeping giant. A group of mostly everyday people who now study up on politics. Know a lie when they hear it, watch Fox, and study the facts.

It is no wonder this meeting occurred. Was inevitable. Reason this movement got started was obama. So strong it is Democrats fear it. Progressive Democrats loath it. Polls show it.

While incumbent Democrats line up not to run again, the spirit of the Constitutions and Conservatives arise like the Phoenix. Responsible government coming to the forefront.

As the Conservative activist said today there is no leader. Recent convention was not endorsed. Tea party is small groups across the Nation. And in growth mode.

They said a meeting with Democrats may occur. I expect it. Conservatives certainly do vote for some Democrats.

Republicans and tea party are really one. Raganism and Newtism.

So obama try to convince us that the stimulus packaged worked. If it had we would know. There would be no Scott Brown if it had.

Just one seat lost in Senate and Democrats yell Gridlock. Add Democrats and liberals and I suppose is true.

We're publishing a new story on the Tea Party - which we don't like! - tonight. Meanwhile, your Readers might consider joining our new Centrists Group at Linked In and might like to look at my new blog for and about Centrists, The Rest of U.S.

Extremists have become so loud, they’re deafening. And because they shout in perfect sound bites, the media birddog their every rant, however irresponsible or outrageous.

But we believe the political tide’s about to turn with a vengeance. No matter their party affiliation or lack thereof, Americans are disgusted with those who harass to harass, obstruct to obstruct, tear down to tear down. Compromise, consensus, bridge-building, and respect for differing viewpoints have been the hallmarks of American life as long as there’s been an America. We’re certain they will be again.

If you like it, please circulate to your family, friends, and colleagues. Or perhaps to your favorite extremist!
