As Sarah Palin joins the Fox team, I remembered finding this paragraph buried in the acknowledgements of Going Rogue:

To some media professionals whom I admire because you don't let anyone tell you to sit down and shut up, please keep making the idiots' heads spin. Thanks for not taking our Freedom of the Press for granted, you bold and patriotic, fair and balanced media folks. Keep calling it like you see it: Amanda, Andrew, Ann, Bill(s), Bob, Cal, Dennis, Dick, Eddie, Fred, Glenn, Greta, Hugh, Joey, John, Jonah, Larry, Laura, Lou, Mark, Mary, Michael, Michelle, R.A.M., Rich, Rush, S.E., Sean, Tammy, Walter ... and there are more. I join you in standing up for what is right. Remember that as your voice is heard and your spine is stiffened, the spines of others are stiffened, too.

I wonder who the "idiots" are: liberal pundits on other networks? Politicians? Or does she mean the viewers?

We conservatives are well acquainted with the sport of 'Making Liberals' Heads Spin'. That would refer to liberals in general, but the head spinning we get to watch is the pundits on CNN, MSNBC and all the networks. Yeah, ya'll have pathetic viewing numbers, and guess what, a significant number of those watching are engaging in the above mentioned sport. We tune in for laughs!

Sarah is going to reveal her policy positions, by accident, most likely. If she's on the side of more tax cuts for the rich (again)---AND SHE WILL BE IN ORDER TO REMAIN IN FOX'S GOOD GRACES, then that is the single thing for which she should be criticized. Her father, the high school science teacher, and her old b-ball team mates undoubtedly know better. So do most church people, if they pull their heads out of their hymn books and search for an original thought.

"I'm quittin' the job you all here in the great State of Alaska elected me to do because I think I can make more important contributions to the country by workin' for Fox News, and also too a lot more money."
